Chapter 1: Welcome to Phase’s absolutely huge and insane multiverse!
Summary:
Here some things you need to know before I start posting some of the One-shots and AUs so you don't get confused. I hope you enjoy!
Notes:
Look I know this is strange but a good bit of my AUs are involved with these creatures that I made when I was little. And yes I'm aware that I was a strange kid. Still am too.

Before we get started here's somethings you should know
How it started...
So it originally started out as a Monster High Au, where I made two of the characters have powers. Like god-level powerful. So to explain why they had these powers, I made an entire species called a Hellbeast, and I recently made another called Valkyries. So here we going.
Hellbeasts
As a species, Hellbeast are a broad range of creatures. Really, anything could be a Hellbeast as long as they're descendants from this specific ancestor. ( Most of the time)
A Hellbeast could extremely powerful or relatively 'weak'.
Hellbeast can be both good and evil.
They can even be just neutral
Sometimes a God/Goddess could be classified as a Hellbeast
They (and the Valkyrie's) are the oldest species in the multiverse
They can look like anything, so not every Hellbeast will look the same.
Valkyrie
Valkyries are also a broad range of creatures.
The one thing they all have in common is that they have wings.
They can be both good and evil
Hellbeast Valkyrie hybrids are common as well and are known as Hell Valkyrie.
Just like with Hellbeast, Valkyries can look like anything
Again sometimes a God/Goddess could be classified a Valkyrie
Forced Hybrids
OK, so there are people who go around in each universe kidnapping 'test subjects' to use them as pawns to try and control certain sections of that universe. Sadly, this common in each universe more so in others.
What they will do with the 'test subjects' is they use either Hellbeast or Valkyrie DNA to turn them into either a Forced Hellbeasts, Forced Valkyries, or the really dangerous combo: a Forced Hell Valkyrie.
These Forced Hellbeasts and Valkyrie won't be as powerful as a 'pure-blooded' (normally) but will be strong enough to be nearly-indestructible soldiers
Nine times out of ten, these always backfire because the Forced will revolt against their creators.
There are also gems that can make Blood Gems. (original apart of a SU au that was going to be unique to only that AU but I changed it)
Basically, a blood gem is a gem that is organic or a forced gem.
How these gems are made is a gemstone is put into the body of an organic either against their will or willingly.
These blood gems are actually almost as if not more powerful than the gems we know.
-Will add on more later-
Notes:
Went back and edited it when I noticed somethings that I just had to fix. Stuff like grammar and crap...
Chapter 2: Horizon Zero Dawn AUs
Summary:
Three HZD AUs I came up with. I may change a few things about them later but I wanted to share.

ALL-MOTHER AU
Aloy is the All-Mother and mother of *most* the gods on earth. The killer robots apocalypse still happens and when it does a lot of gods die along with humans. Varl is the reincarnation of Sol or the All-Father, the first god after Aloy, who isn't related to her and didn't try to overthrow her once he saw her. They're married (kinda; It could be classified as some sort of romantic partnership) but when they reincarnate he almost always breaks her heart in some way and has to win her over. (this does not happen when Sol reincarnates as Varl)
STORY: The All-Mother, then Elisabet, and the All-Father, previous identity unknown, sacrificed their physical forms to save the True Children of the All-Mother (no, the All-Father isn't their father; they were born from the All-Mother's womb but technically don't have a father; they were magic babies, OK) so the Earth will have a chance at life again. They destroy the killer robots in their godly forms and rebuild the earth. Centuries later, they want new bodies and decide to be reborn as Nora. Something goes wrong when the All-Mother now Aloy still does not have her memories of who she truly is by the time she's 19 and her children are trying to get her to remember who she truly is. At some point, HADES and HEPHAESTUS go rogue and try to wipe out half of the human race (the All-Father now Varl only protects half of the humans since he and Aloy split the protection over humans once he figured out how to create humans on his own; therefore Hades and Hephaestus can't completely wipe out life on earth because half belongs to Varl and since their mother doesn't remember who she truly is, the other half belongs to them, her children). Aloy gets her memories back before this can happen and 'kills' them. (they turn into babies with no memories of the last 5 years.[Still toying with this idea may add on to it or change it later]
APEX PREDATOR AU
Aloy was designed to be an organic hunter tasked with killing humans using the DNA of Elisabet Sobeck by Hephaestus. She is the apex human hunter and therefore the apex predator of the earth (that we know of). She has advanced hearing, advanced sight, advanced sense of smell, super strength, animalistic tendencies, superior speed, and much more. She is the first of her kind and could, in theory, turn others to be like her but they would not be as strong as her (think like vampires and werewolves). When the Nora find out that she's the 'daughter' of the All-Mother and starts worshiping her, they also start to worship her as some sort of goddess of the hunt and animals do to her exhibiting animalistic tendencies and ability to be more in tune with nature. Because she was originally supposed to hunt humans like the machines, Aloy's life has been artificially lengthened, it is unknown how long she'll live for. [Still toying with this idea may add on to it or change it later]
APEX PREDATOR(Forced Hell Valkyrie Edition) AU
Aloy is the daughter of Elisabet Sobeck and Henry Sobeck and was put in cryo-stasis along with her mother and the other Alphas as an infant to save them from the apocalypse. Nearly a thousand years later and she was taken out of cryostasis at the same time her mother was [the other Alphas don't make it] and the two go live among the Nora outcasts [this explains how Rost is her father figure in the AU]. Both Aloy and Elisabet are apex 'human' hunters and therefore the apex predators of the earth [that we know of]. They have advanced hearing, advanced sight, advanced sense of smell, super strength, animalistic tendencies [this is mostly directed towards Aloy given the fact that she was raised around wild animals], superior speed, and much more. They are the first of their kind [in this universe] and could, in theory, turn others to be like them but those that they turned would more than likely not be as strong as them [think like vampires and werewolves]. When the Nora find out that they're the 'mother' and 'sister' of the All-Mother [I see GAIA and Elisabet's relationship as a mother-daughter one, not the 'I fell in love with my creation/ I fell in love with my creator' kind most people write them as] and starts worshiping them, they also start to worship Aloy as some sort of goddess of the hunt and animals do to her exhibiting animalistic tendencies and ability to be more in tune with nature and Elisabet as a sort of goddess of knowledge.
How did Elisabet survive?
When Elisabet was in her twenties, she participated in an experiment that altered her DNA and turned her into a very powerful forced hell valkyrie, and essentially a goddess, meaning she would survive when everything else died, though she did not know this at the time, and instead of her saving the Alpha's lives, it's her husband Henry who leaves GAIA Prime and dies on the family ranch. Elisabet is heartbroken but goes on knowing that's what he would have wanted. Ted still tries to destroy APOLLO but Lis stops him before it's to late but damage has been done. Most of the ELEUTHIA facilities will be able to teach about the history of human save for one: ELEUTHIA 9. This is why the Nora, Carja, Banuk, Oseram, Utaru, and the Tenakth are so primitive compared to the rest of the world. Everything that happened with GAIA in canon still happens, with a few different things like: instead of The Proving being run when your 19 it happens when your 14 or 15 as a sort of coming of age thing [yes the braves are all 14 or 15 when they die] so instead of Aloy being 19 she's 15 [but she looks like she's 20] when Rost dies and has severe trauma from it, Elisabet does not like nor trust Sylens at all, Varl is an outcast too and when Elisabet and Aloy were made Seekers Varl went with them because Aloy is his only friend and he doesn't want to be alone with people who won't even talk to him anymore and because he has a crush on Aloy and Lis can see right through it and thinks it's adorable, when people flirt with Aloy they are met with a very overprotective mama bear Lis who will kick someone's teeth in, Lis trying to shelter Aloy from all the violence, Varl being even more hopelessly in love with Aloy. Oh, and Vanasha and Talanah are a couple. Because of the experiment, Elisabet and Aloy's lives have been artificially lengthened, it is unknown how long they'll live for. They also can communicate with the machines and with animals as well. [Still toying with this idea may add on to it or change it later]
Notes:
I'm writing 2 one-shots for these AUs... Almost finished with one then I have to start on the second one.
Chapter 3: BOTW/Skyrim Crossover AU
Summary:
I feel like I have to make this clear. My botw au is just that an au. There are going to somethings that are not in either Skyrim or botw. I also haven’t played Skyrim in a good few years so my knowledge about it isn’t the best and unlike with botw, I can’t go back a play it again because I don’t have it anymore.
Notes:
Try to stay with me on this. I’ve been told before that my stories/aus get really complex for some people and I have a hard time explaining my aus to people because of this( I have a hard time explaining things in general but you get the point). So I’m going to try my best here. Every single one of my aus is intertwined in some way. It may not make sense to some people but it makes sense to me and I know it gets confusing to others real fast if don't explain these sorts of things in order. Also, the old champions are alive because Zelda figured out a way to bring them back

Chapter Text
'Gerudo Town' or Haven and the Gerudo in general
Gerudo Town is a haven for the Gerudo and is called "Haven" because it's a space place for those who are LGBTQ+, orphaned, escaping abusive situations, basically anyone who was in a really bad spot and wants to start over. Both Gerudo and Hylian voe are aloud in Haven but have to have to a card showing that they were told to go there, the same goes for vai. These cards are not easy to recreate so they’ll know if it’s forged. Also if they're fleeing from someone it’s best to give the guards a description of the person your running form and a few details on why it’s not required but it helps. The reason it’s like this is so that if someone abuser shows up the guards won’t just deny the abuser entry they’ll get even more hostile until said abuser backs down or is gravely injured and or killed. There are more Gerudo ‘cities’ further in the desert but also some, barely a hand full, outside the desert. The ones in the desert are quite a ways apart from each other and most of the time it would take someone two to three weeks to get from one Gerudo city to another by foot and it turns into one to two weeks to go by sand seal. Also in this au Gerudo men aren’t rare. The ‘king’ of the Gerudo has to be born with a very specific birthmark (still haven’t decided on what it looks like, also it's not the mark of the triforce) and that’s also how they can tell if the baby voe is Ganondorf or not. Ganondorf is not always the ‘king’ of the Gerudo. Sometimes people will think a baby voe is Ganondorf and give them the name and it'll turn out to be that they had the wrong baby. This does happen and the voe was cast out and ended up being turned into a Forced Hybrid and is the S/o of one of my Overwatch fan children.
Background info about Link
In this botw au Link is half Gerudo and Urbosa is his biological mom. Urbosa also has a daughter named Opal and also ends up adopting Riju (we'll get into more about that later). Every signal Gerudo doesn't look the same as such in the game. It’s just so confusing sometimes. Is it common for a Gerudo to be ungodly tall? Yes but there are also short and medium-sized Gerudo too. Link doesn’t have really dark skin like most Gerudo have but has a much lighter skin tone than most Gerudo and has strawberry blonde hair and central heterochromia (picture his eyes as the perfect balance of emerald green with deep blue). He’s also selectively mute around most people but when he gets back to Haven or any other place he's comfortable in, he'll talk your head off. He ends up marrying a Gerudo Nord werewolf by the name Isha the Strange and later on they have six werewolf children and the oldest has a hand in another crossover au. I told y'all every.single.one of my AUs are intertwined in some way or form.
Background on Isha the Strange or Isha Wild
Skyrim is a distant land that can only be traveled through a portal, BUT you have to be deemed worthy enough to go through the portal. Isha’s mother, Emri, traveled through the portal and met Isha’s father Andor the Hunter a Werewolf Nord. It is important to note that Andor is a descendant of basically of a dragon similar to Alduin in the sense that Alduin is kinda like a god and that’s the only similarity between Alduin and this other dragon (that I’m still working on a name for). This dragon actually is a god and is a shapeshifter and shape-shifted into a Nord to helped banish Alduin. This explains the origins of the Dovahkiin in this au. Anyways Emri and Andor fall in love and get married. Emri decided to stay in Skyrim with Andor even though he would go back to Hyrule with her in an instant if she wanted; even going so far as to have her show him where the portal was. Eventually, Emri falls pregnant with Isha and one would think Andor would be ecstatic that he was going to have a child right? Well, they'd be so wrong, so wrong. Why? Well because Andor was a werewolf and Emri wasn't a werewolf as well that meant that there was a chance that Isha would be a werewolf too. So why is that such a big problem? You see it is extremely dangerous for a non-female-werewolf (in this AU) to carry a werewolf pup because it could potentially kill the mother and because lycanthropy is a dominant trait the chances are extremely high that the baby would certainly be a werewolf. Knowing her chances of survival were slim to none Emri made Andor promise that if she did not make it that he would not blame their child and hate them for her death as it was her choice to keep them. Emri does sadly die in childbirth and the moment Andor laid eyes on his daughter he swore to protect and cherish her no matter what.
Isha grew up in Skyrim and can speak and understand every language in the land. She is also very talented in magic, lock picking, and hunting. She and Aela the Huntress are best friends and are like sisters having grown up together. When she was 18 her father took her to her mother’s homeland of Hyrule. The two of them met Impa and explained how Isha had never been to Hyrule and didn’t know much about the land. Word got around about her, her father, and the portal and it eventually made it’s way to Zelda( Isha comes to Hyrule a month after Ganon is defeated) who wanted to meet her and her father but couldn't since she was extremely busy. Zelda gets Urbosa to go in her place to meet with Isha and Andor. When the Gerudo Chief arrives at the meeting place she alarmed to see Isha in war paint and almost reaches for her weapon only to stop and noticed that neither Isha nor Andor were acting aggressively towards the townspeople, in fact, the older of the two werewolves seemed to be acting like the townspeople were made of glass while the younger seemed to be incredibly overwhelmed by the townspeople who swarming her and were downright interrogating the poor girl. Urbosa steps in to save Isha from her interrogation and starts their interaction with small talk and apologizing to them for the townsfolk. Isha gets even more overwhelmed by Urbosa's kindness and all-around personality and gets really nervous around the older female because she’s not used to seeing someone who looks like her nor someone as tall as her either. Urbosa notices this and asks if something is wrong to which Andor explains that she just gets anxious around new people. After a while of small talk and learning a little bit about Skyrim, including the fact that most people in Skyrim wear war paint even when there's no battle happening which is why Isha was wearing her paint (much to Urbosa relief), Urbosa agrees to teach Isha about Hyrule and the Gerudo or as she put it 'their people'.
Andor thanks Urbosa for doing this as he’s done his best with what Emri had told him about her people. Urbosa quickly realizes that Isha is almost exactly like her son Link. Isha just has a habit of doing things in the most chaotic way possible.just.like.Link. She also notices that Isha tends to be extremely guarded when around new people and always has an escape plan in case things turn violent. After a little prodding, Isha reveals that in Skyrim she's always stuck out like a sore thumb do to not only her height but her bright crimson hair and due to this she was bullied mercilessly growing up. So much so that she and her father had to move not once, not twice, but three times due to the harassment and because of this all interaction with other people besides her father’s friends and their children have not been pleasant. She swears she saw Urbosa starting to twitch when she told her about the bullying she went through and it only became more noticeable the more she went on about it. It takes about five months for Isha to learn everything about Hyrule and in that time she’s visited each region. She discovered that she likes the Hebra region of Hyrule the most as it reminds her of Skyrim She quickly discovered that she does not like the desert. She didn’t even make it to the bazaar before she turned around and went right back to the stable. Given the fact that she was used to the frigid cold of Skyrim, not the sweltering heat of the desert Urbosa wasn’t really all that surprised
How Link and Isha met
She and Link eventually meet at the Snowfield Stable when Isha was getting ready to go and try to either fight or tame, she really hoped she could tame it, the Lynel that lived near the stable. She was wearing just a regular shirt with some leather pants ( did I mention that Isha is so used to the cold of Skyrim she doesn’t need any cold-resistant clothes?). Urbosa had told her son about Isha once and he didn’t really believe her. It went something like this:
Link: OK let me get this straight. There is a Gerudo who hates the desert but loves the snowy mountains and also acts like an animal sometimes and is kinda like a female version of me????
Urbosa: *nodding* She also knows next to nothing about the Gerudo people. She can’t even speak our language.
Link: *beyond confused* wat?
So when Link came across Isha in normal clothes in the Hebra region of all places he thought he’d finally lost his damn mind. However when Isha told him her plan Link fell in love at that moment. He immediately offered to help her. After that, the two kept running into each other and after the fifth time of this Link asked her out still offering to go find a Lynel and tame it for her. Isha agreed and they went on a ‘date’ or they went and did the absolute most chaotic version of a date where they’d tried to one-up one another by doing the most chaotic good thing they could think of. After dating for a year and a half they got married. They had two weddings. One in Hyrule(Isha didn’t really like that one but kept to herself about it) and one in Skyrim.

There might be some grammar problems but I'll fix them later
Chapter 4: Her Secret (Link/Isha)
Summary:
Link returns home after a week-long hunting trip turned mini-adventure that ended with him fighting a Lynel, only to find that his wife is home from her ore hunting trip as well and there seems to be something wrong with her
Chapter Text
“You look like hell”. Were the words Link was greeted to when he walked into the kitchen of his home. There stood his wife Isha, getting ready to make dinner. Link only grunted in response as he limped his way to the living room to unload after an eventful hunting trip. He heard Isha chuckle when he fell onto the couch with a sigh of relief.“Come on love lets get you into some more comfortable clothes,” Isha said as she yanked her husband off the couch with ease. Link flailed in her arms a little but decided to make her carry him to their bedroom knowing she wouldn’t mind doing so. Isha rolled her eyes when she felt Link relax completely in her arms, sometimes he could be as lazy as a Hinox when he wanted. Once they were in their room Isha dumped him on the bed and then turned to retrieve the bandages from the bathroom.
Link took his shirt off so Isha could get a better look at the wound on his back that he haphazardly wrapped on while he was still at Snowfield Stable before used the slate to travel to the shrine closest to his home. Isha returned with the bandages and began to patch up her mate. ” How was your trip, hon?” Link asked. Isha grunted as she continued her work, not even looking up from the wound. “I guess you couldn’t find the ore you were looking for, huh?” “No” She replied flatly. “I looked all over that damn place and couldn’t find a single sapphire! Can yo-” “OW” Link jerked forward grabbing at his back in pain. “Sorry” Isha apologized as she leaned forward to continue cleaning the wound.”It’s fine Isha. Anyway did you look for the ra-” “ I know what ore deposits to look for Link” She growled at him. “ And yes I did. All I got was ruby, amber, flint, topaz, and three diamonds but that’s it.” Isha stated as she finished wrapping Links' wound. “Well, at least you got some diamonds! That’s something right?” Link said in an attempt to cheer his wife up. “ Yea but it’s not the gem I need love,” Isha replied as she got up to put the bandages away. Link knew his wife needed sapphire but didn’t know what she needed it for. If he did he could probably get it for her but she refused to tell him what she needed it for. He decided not to ask her about it as that would just make her more upset and the last thing he wanted right now was a very upset Gerudo on his hands. “ Come on let’s go make dinner love” He pulled Isha out of the bedroom and into the kitchen where they began to cook.
“Next time I go hunting why don’t you come with me? We could see if we could tame a Lynel” Link offered as he stuffed his face with food. Isha laughed at that. The first time he asked her out on a date he offered to tame a Lynel for her, again, and it was at that moment she knew she absolutely had to make him hers before anyone else could take him. They had first met near Snowfield Stable when she was traveling around Hyrule, however, unlike most Gerudo who were traveling around Hyrule she wasn’t looking for a husband, she was looking for adventure. Well unlike most Gerudo she wasn't born in Hyrule. It was new territory for her and she wanted to explore as much as she could. When she learned what a Lynel was, she instantly thought it would be the perfect challenge. She was thinking about going to either fight or tame the Lynel that lived near the stable and was making sure she had enough supplies when she met Link. When she told him about her plan she expected him to laugh in her face but he just asked if she wanted some help even offered to distract the thing while she snuck behind it and jumped on its back. She was smitten with him at that moment. She knew that he was different from other men like him, the other soldiers.
While most if not all soldiers were too prideful and over-confident for their own good which often led to their failure. All except Link. Link was at times overconfident but was rarely if ever prideful. The only times she could think of him being prideful was when the two of them were out adventuring and he was watching her either be fighting something or figuring out a puzzle he couldn’t; she could always tell that he had some sense of a mixture of pride and amazement watching her as if he couldn’t believe what he was seeing or that she was his partner, his wife, his mate. Her mother-in-law, Urbosa, had told her once that even before the Great Calamity, Link was never really been interested in a girl or a ‘vai’, as she put it, much as he was with her. Mipha who he was in a romantic relationship with back then had never had the same effect she had on him. Though Isha knew she had won Link’s heart and that he only had eyes for her, she couldn’t help but feel possessive over him when it came to other women and some men who weren’t his family, his pack, now her pack. Every time she saw the Zora princess and prince and even sometimes Queen Zelda gaze at him longingly she just wanted to rip their- “ISHA! Your hand!”
Link’s voice snapped her out of her thoughts. Shaking her head softly she looked over to a now concerned Link and followed his gaze down to her hand. She was so lost in her thoughts she didn’t realize how worked up she got and squeezed her glass so tight she shattered it in her hand , forcing the glass to go through her hand. ‘Damn it!’ She thought as she quickly moved to grab something to stop the bleeding. Once she had got the bleeding to stop she turned to clean the mess she made only to find Link had beat her to it. Isha sighed, she wasn’t normally this easily angered or oblivious. She only got like this when it was close to a full moon or when she was in heat. Her heat wasn’t due for a little while, so it wasn’t that. That only meant one thing…. By the Gods no! That would explain her sudden aggression towards others who she didn’t consider members of her pack and her sudden extreme possessiveness towards Link. She hoped she’d have a little more time until the next full moon. Link still didn’t know about her Lycanthropy, she’d hoped she could keep it like that at least for a little while longer, they hadn’t even been married for a full month yet! That’s why she needed the sapphire so she could use it to make an amulet that could pacify the effects of a full moon enough to where it could be passed off as her time of the month.
“Sweetheart...Are you okay? You’ve been acting strange since I got home…” Link walked cautiously towards her like he was afraid she would snap at him and at this rate she didn’t blame him. “ L-link… I-” She was cut off as she moaned in pain as she suddenly grabbed at her head feeling intense pain in her head. She fell to the floor in agony as the pain only got worse digging her nails- no they were claws now -into her head. She closed her eyes as Link rushed over to her side.’ Oh no! Not now, please!’ ’Yes now!’ A harsh voice replied. She knew that voice anywhere... it was the beast within or her inner she-wolf. ’Please just wait a little while longer! He doesn't know yet!’ She pleaded. ’Fine! A little longer than I come out!’ The wolf snarled in broken speech. ”ISHA! LOVE? ARE YOU OK!? LOVE, PLEASE WAKE UP!” she heard Link crying out to her. She wanted so badly to look him in the eyes and tell him she was ok but she was afraid that when she opened her eyes again they wouldn't be their normal mixed of forest green and emerald but the angry gold and silver of an alpha werewolf.
She didn't trust her voice enough to speak to him know that if anything else had changed it would be her voice. Isha felt Link move her on to something soft as he began to check her over for any signs of injury. He was panicking. ”Outside,” she said quietly but knew it was loud enough for him to hear her. ”Don’t worry love I’ll bring you to Zora’s Domain! They'll know what's wrong!” Alarm bells began ringing in her head. ”NO!” She shouted before she could stop herself. It probably sounded more like a beast snarling than a shout but she didn't know. Isha doubted the Zora knew what Lycanthropy was and how to diagnose someone with it but she wasn't taking any chances. ”N-no...Link I just n-need t-to be o-outside. Please just l-listen to me, ” Her voice was quiet but she knew she had his attention. Obediently Link took her outside and sat in a way so that she was laying on her back with her face to the sky but her head was in his lap. She focused her superior hearing on his heartbeat and breathing both of which were going extremely fast, indicating the intense anxiety he was feeling. Isha also noticed that he was trembling. She felt guilty for causing him so much worry but she was afraid that if he knew the truth he'd leave her. She opened her eyes and saw that Link had his closed and was silently crying. He likely thought she was dying and wanted to be outside under the stars as she took her last breath. Her guilt skyrocketed at that point. Link never cried. The only time he did was when he had nightmares of the Calamity. Losing everyone he cared about in an instant.
She’d made her choice, he deserved the truth.
”Link” He clenched his eyes tighter. ”Link look at me” He shook his head crying even hard not wanting to watch as he lost another person he loved. ”Link, look at me, ” She made sure to hold back the snarl that threatened to come out as she was losing her temper with him. Slowly Link opened his eyes and gasped. Isha’s eyes were gold and silver. ”I-isha? Y-your eyes! T-they-” ”I know soldier” She gave him a small smile. Link’s eyes grew even bigger than before. “ Y-your teeth! You have fangs!” Isha wanted to laugh at his reaction but knew it would be in poor taste. She had just scared her mate to death and her first thought is to laugh at him.’ Tick Tock’ The wolf growled. Knowing her time was limited she decided to try and make this quick.” Love, do you remember when I told that in Skyrim that certain…people were feared because they were...’ sick’ right?” Link nodded quietly watching her intently. “Well, I’m one of those ‘sick’ people. I have Lycanthropy.” He tilted his head like a puppy, like he always does when he’s confused. “Y-you h-have what? I don’t know what that is. Can you-“ “No I can’t die from it. Well..” She felt her body becoming hotter, she was running out of time. “Basically I can turn into a giant wolf. I have control of myself most of the time but it gets a bit harder around the full moon. That’s when the wolf within is at its strongest and it will try and take control. If it does then I could do a lot of things. Destroy property, kill livestock, kill pets, and even ...people.” Link was silent for what seemed like a millennium. Her worst fear had come true. Link, her mate, knew the truth and didn’t love her anymore. Once this had passed she would pack her things and go back to Skyrim. Maybe she could leave an anonymous tip to the Silverhand about her location and go out with a fight… It wasn’t like she had anything to stay alive for now that her mate didn’t love her.
Andor, her father, had warned her before she and Link married to tell him about her being a werewolf as once she mated with him and gave him a mating bite she would be mated to him for life. Other werewolves have done what she did, not telling their mates they were werewolves and when their mates found out they left them. Those werewolves all died soon after their mates left them… She felt so stupid of course he wouldn’t want her now that he knew the truth. He was a hero and she was a monster “Isha…” She turned her head to him feeling a little hope that she was over worrying about this whole thing but she knew better than to get her hopes up. ” You've never killed someone, have you? While your…” He asked carefully. There it was. She knew he would ask that question. She closed her eyes and grimaced at an old memory.” Once… But it was out of self-defense. I was stILL-” her time was running shorter and shorter by the minute. ”-still in my wolf form when these group of werewolf hunters surrounded me in the woods. I didn't do anything wrong but they still attackED ME.” The intense pain from earlier returned. The transformation wasn't nearly as painful as this before. Maybe it was on the account that she wasn't transforming as often as she used too. She quickly moved out of Links lap so she wouldn’t hurt him. She could never forgive herself if she did, even if he didn’t love her anymore.
Link gazed in both awe and horror as his wife turned into a giant wolf that walked on two legs instead of four, had beautiful crimson red fur, and huge claws that could no doubt tear him apart with ease. ’No it's just Isha… She would never hurt you’ He reminded himself. Suddenly the beast stood upright and looked directly at him and bared its teeth and growled. ”Isha?” It didn't respond but it did start moving closer to him. Just as it seemed like Isha was going to attack him she suddenly stopped and sniffed him. It was like a switch flipped in her brain as she went from snarling at him to licking his face. He chuckled when she continued to lick his face and put up his hand to try and stop her. As soon as he touched the side of her head Isha tensed and something in her eyes changed. They changed from gold and silver to their normal color and she instantly began to back away from him all the while whining.
”Isha? What's wrong?”She seemed afraid but of what? As far he knew there was nothing for her to be afraid of… Unless there were those werewolf hunters she spoke about. Were they here? He suspected she could smell them if they were. Is that why she was afraid all of sudden? His eyes widened as he realized what meant if they were actually here. They would try and kill her! They would try and take away Isha! His Isha! He wasn't going to let that happen! He loved her more than life itself and would gladly die if it meant she would live! Link stood up and began looking around for the source of her fears so he could dispose of it. He didn’t care who or what it was at this point, all he wanted was for Isha to feel safe. He could care less that she was a werewolf. He was still her husband and she was still his wife. He vowed to be there with her through thick and thin and he meant that. When he couldn't find what could have caused Isha to suddenly back away from him whining in fear, he didn't know what to do when it suddenly hit him. ’Wait. She's not afraid of me is she? No that's silly! She doesn't really think that I would hurt her because she’s a werewolf? That's foolish!....right?’ He looked towards her to see she was watching his every single move. When he moved closer he noticed that she seemed to get even more afraid the closer he got to her, confirming his suspicions. It hurt him that she actually thought he would hurt her because of what she was but he understood why she would think that. To most of the people of Skyrim, she was a monster, something that had to be destroyed, and here in Hyrule, he killed monsters daily so she must have assumed that once he found out he would see her as a monster too and try to kill her like those werewolf hunters. She probably wanted to be left alone right which was not happening. He didn’t know what she was thinking but something in his mind told him that he should not under no circumstances leave her alone like this, even if she was afraid of him right now.” If you think I’m leaving you outside by yourself, you’ve lost your mind.” He started. ” I'll stay outside with you tonight. We have a lot to talk about in the morning.” Isha seemed to understand and curled around herself as though she was about to go to sleep. He soon followed her lead and laid down, that night he had a dreamless sleep.
Link was surprised to find that he was in his bed when he woke up. The events of last night came rushing back to his mind and immediately got up to go look for Isha. He found her in the living room packing her bags. ”What are you doing?” He asked cautiously. ” Packing” Isha replied. He could tell she'd been crying and it broke his heart.” Why? You just got back from you-” ”Please don't make this harder than it has to be Link.” she turned around to look at and he was right she had been crying. He didn’t think it was possible for his heart to break even more than it already was but it did. ” I understand that you don't want to be with me anymore.” What? Why the hell did she think that he didn't want to be with her anymore? ” I lied to you. Broke your trust. I should have told you sooner… But I was scared and now I realized why my father wanted me to tell you from the beginning…” Was she talking about last night? He didn't care about that! He understood why she didn't tell him about it! ”Isha I-” ” Please don't. Let me leave with what little bit of dignity I have left. I’ll Hyrule perman-“ “ LIKE FUCKING HELL YOU ARE!” Isha jumped at Link’s sudden outburst. ”Listen to me for one god damn second Isha! I don't care that you lied to me anymore! Was I hurt that you didn't tell at first? Yes! Am I still a little hurt by it? Yes, a little! Do I understand why you were afraid of telling me? YES! Do I want you to permanently leave Hyrule and never come back? FUCK NO! Do I still love you even though you are a werewolf? OF FUCKING COURSE!” He roared. Link was beyond livid at this point and he didn’t care how loud he was getting. ” Isha I love you and nothings going to change that! On our wedding day, I made a vow to you to stay by your side through thick and thin! To love you no matter what! The fact that you think I would even remotely want you to leave Hyrule and never return not only hurts me but makes me want to know what I ever did for you to think that! I'M YOUR HUSBAND ISHA AND NOTHING WILL CHANGE THAT!” They were both crying now. Link because he was genuinely hurt that Isha would ever think that he’d want her to leave and never return and Isha because she not only felt like an idiot but because she obviously had caused Link great pain by even thinking that. Isha just moved over to Link and hugged him close, whispering apology after apology to him. The rest of the morning was spent putting Isha’s stuff back where it belonged. Neither one of them spoke as they did so but once they were done Link wanted to know more about Lycanthropy and how he could help her during the next full moon. Isha answered all his questions to the best of her abilities and when he eventually ran out of them the two just spent the rest of the day in each other’s arms, where they both belonged.
Chapter 5: A Snippet of the Au that started it all(Trans!Howleen/Cleo de Nile) (Minor Clawdeen Wolf/Deuce Gorgon)
Summary:
This is how Howleen came out to everyone. Also explains why Clawdeen isn't present when this happens. May write a story out of this headcanon, but not entirely sure.
Chapter Text
Keep in mind some things may change in the future.
NOTE: I know Clawdeen has recently been confirmed to be a lesbian. I made this AU when I was around 8 or 10, which then led to me creating my own multiverse, and at the time it wasn't confirmed, just fan speculation. In this AU Clawdeen is bisexual.
Clawdeen and Deuce
Clawdeen and Deuce are both geniuses and graduated high school by the time they were 16 and 17. Clawdeen, Howlard, Clawd, and Clawdia don't share the same father. Howlard, Clawd, and Clawdia are Clark's children. Clawdeen's biological father was a famous archaeologist named Samuel Lupus. Their mother dies about 3 or 4 months before the story takes place. When her bio father dies, Clawdeen continued his search for a lost city in Siberia (I got inspiration from Tomb Raider) and he believed that this city could help him prove that the multiverse did exist. The two of them disappeared after their camp was attacked by mid-tier Hellbeasts (their jobs were to keep intruders away from the city). Clawdeen and Deuce eventually discovered that they are reincarnations of the ' mother' and 'father' of the multiverse. They eventually go to The Citadel, which is kind of like a hub for the multiverse, and test out their new powers. (I'll explain more about The Citadel later). They eventually go home and find the shitshow that started when they were presumed dead.
Howlard Wolf (formally Howleen Wolf)and Cleo de Nile
Cleo lives in her own apartment and has three guards because her father is paranoid (also he's the family asshole, not Nefera De Nile). Clark Wolf is transphobic and homophobic so when he found out that his daughter, Howleen, wanted to transition and was dating a ghoul, Cleo, he kicked Howleen out but not before beating her to a bloody pulp. Howleen manages to make it to Cleo's apartment and when her loving ghoulfriend opened the door and saw the state Howleen was in she went into shock. It was bad really really bad. Like 'Howleen would have ended up dying if Cleo hadn't acted sooner' bad. Cleo managed to get Howleen to the hospital and call her brother and sister to tell them what happened. She also manages to call Frankie and Draculaura before the gravity of the situation settles in. When it does she breaks down completely sobbing. She wants to know who would do such a thing to her kind and loving ghoulfriend. Clawd is trying not to lash out at anyone and Clawdia is pacing around worried that Howleen might not make it. When Howleen wakes up she lies about what happened and when she's eventually released from the hospital she asks Cleo if she can stay with her for a few days. Cleo doesn't think too much about it at first until Frankie points out that every time someone mentions Howleen going back to the Wolf house Howleen tenses up and changes the subject and how she seemed skittish and jumpy around older male werewolves. Cleo gets Clawd, Claudia, her ghoulfriends, and Twyla to come over to her apartment so they can stage an intervention of sorts to get Howleen to tell the truth about what happened. Eventually, Howleen cracks and tells them that she's trans and her siblings make it a point to tell their sister that they'll be there for her every step of the way, Draculaura, Twyla, and Ghoulia gives her a hug, Lagoona makes tea for everyone, and Frankie asked what pronouns she'll be going by so they (Frankie's non-binary and Irish in the au) can start using them now if she wanted. Cleo states that she'll stand by Howleen the entire time and love her no matter what, but can tell that Howleen is still hiding something from them. The conversation goes something like this;
Cleo: Mahbub(Arabic for dearest), I know you're still hiding something.
Howleen: W-what? Come on Luv! you know I would never hide anything from you!
Cleo:Gives her the 'I don't buy that bullshit for one second' look
Howleen: immediately tells the truth
All hell broke loose. Clawd and Clawdia were saying they were going to kill their father. Frankie and Draculaura were talking about how they were going to help get rid of the body, Lagoona, Howleen, Twyla, and Ghoulia were trying to calm everyone down. Everyone got quiet once they realized that Cleo had been eerily quiet the entire time, staring at the floor shaking with pure unadulterated rage. It's common knowledge in Monster High that Cleo is extremely protective of those she loves, so for her to be quiet in a situation like this is never a good thing. If she says she is going to kill someone for hurting someone she loves she means it and will so mercilessly. Because of this, they all thought that she was planning a murder which is completely true. They also knew that the longer she thought about it the angrier she would get which would make her become more malevolent and hostile. Howleen and Clawd really started to worry once they heard muttering in Arabic, knowing that they would more than likely have to restrain her because the few times Cleo spoke only in Arabic, people were either maimed or in the worst cases ruthlessly executed.
Frankie: Cleo? Look we know you're upset about what Clark did but you need to calm down.
Clawd: y-yeah! You need to calm down! Let's just talk about how we can get back at my dad.
Cleo:looks at them with a look that could freeze hell before walking to her room ( all but snarling in Arabic) His God may be merciful but I'm not and he's going to die a slow and painful death for hurting my dearest. comes back with a fucking handgun.
The Guards: quickly restraining her so she doesn't do anything that could end up with her going to jail
Everyone agreed that Clark was going to pay. They just need evidence to get him behind bars. Clawdeen and Deuce come back two weeks after this and after the Wolf siblings have a reunion with their beloved half-sister filled with lots of crying, hugs, 'And never disappear on us like that again!'s the two explorers notice that there's something off with everyone immediately and ask what's up. Howleen knew her older sister would react the same way Cleo did maybe even worse so she was a little hesitant to tell them what happened but ultimately did only to find that she was right. Only Clawdeen's reaction was ten times worse than Cleo's and Deuce had to restrain her so no one would get hurt. Eventually, once Clawdeen calmed down enough and Deuce made Clawdeen swear she wouldn't use her powers to aid in the process the two agreed to help make Clark pay. It takes 6 months but they do it. Once Clark is in jail Howleen begins her transition. Howleen, now Howlard, is living happily with Clawdeen but later moves in with Cleo.

Chapter Text
Nestled in the rock face just west of Rost’s Hovel was a makeshift bunker built and used by the woman out of time, Dr. Elisabet Sobeck. The woman used the makeshift bunker as a place to get peace and quiet, and a workplace to conduct some of her less than safe experiments. Though it seemed like her daughter was hellbent on disturbing that peace and quiet today.
”Come on, mom! You said we’d go hunting!” The girl cried impatiently as she tugged on her mother’s shirt. “ Not now, kiddo. I need to finish this.” Her mother replied, not looking up from the spear she was modifying. Elisabet had just retrieved the alpha registry from the ruins of GAIA Prime during her last trip west. All she needed to do now was add it to her spear and she could access ELEUTHIA 9 and any other facilities that required alpha clearance. Not only that but when HADES finally reveals itself, she’ll be able to stop it. “But you said you would take me hunting today!” the girl pouted. Elisabet sighed. “ Not today, Dez. Tomorrow, maybe. Why don’t you go talk to APOLLO or MINERVA? Maybe ELEUTHIA can teach you about the different human mutations” Aloy made a noise she only made when she was getting stubborn. “Look kiddo I’m busy right now, ok. I prom-“ “You promised me we’d go today!” Elisabet’s eyes narrowed.
“Dez stop this right now. I have to finish this."
“No! Why don’t you want to spend time with me?!”
“Dez you stop this behavior right now. This is very important.” Elisabet was trying not to snap at her, she was nearly at her wits end with the young girl.
“More important than your own daughter?!”
“I didn’t say tha-“
“But you didn’t have to! Everything is more important to you than me! I just wanna go hunting with you!”Aloy yelled.
“And you will tomorrow I prom-“
“ You never keep your promises to me! Yesterday you said the same thing!”
“Aloy” Elisabet bit back the snarl that threatened to surface.
“I HATE YOU!” Aloy cried, running out of the makeshift bunker. “ALOY DESDEMONA SOBECK! You get back here this instant!” Elisabet barked, chasing after the younger redhead before she stormed back into the bunker. Elisabet knew the girl wouldn’t go far. She would give the younger redhead, and herself, a little time to cool off before she went to bring the girl home. Her focus hummed to life signaling one of the subfunctions coming online.”Elisabet. May I speak out of protocol?” ”Sure APOLLO. Go ahead,” The subfunction turned AI briefly paused before he continued. “I believe part of the reason Aloy is acting out is that she misses you. MINERVA, ELEUTHIA, and I understand why you go on trips west for months at a time, Rost understands why as well, not fully, but still. Aloy on the other hand does not. The only thing she understands is that she doesn’t see you anymore.” There was a pause.“There’s also the fact that some people and the machines have been getting more aggressive towards her. Everything is changing around her and she’s terrified of it. When she’s scared she runs to you for guidance and protection but for almost three years now she’s barely seen you. I believe it is having an extremely negative effect on her.” As much as she hated to admit it the AI had a point. She and Aloy needed to have a little chat that should have happened a while ago and it was her fault for putting it off until now. “ I….. Thanks, APOLLO. I believe I needed to hear that. I just hope I can fix this mess I made.”Elisabet sighed.
“I believe you can Elisabet. Look at it on the bright side, it could be much worse. " Elizabeth snorted. “How?” “Her currently dormant Hellbeast genes could randomly awaken, effectively causing her to enter pubescence early. I am quite sure you don’t want to deal with the nine-year-old hybrid equivalent of a raging hormonal female human teen.”
Elisabet paled. “Wait, that can happen?!”
“Yes. In fact, prior to GAIA’s self-destruction and her efforts to awaken you and Aloy, she predicted a timeframe in which this could happen. This could happen anywhere from the ages of eight to fifteen. In layman‘s terms, Aloy is essentially a hormonal ticking time bomb that could go off at any moment now.”
“AND YOU DIDN’T THINK TO TELL ME THIS UNTIL NOW?!” She roared.
MINERVA suddenly came online. “We should have told you this a long time ago”
“YOU THINK?!”
“ Elisabet I have been monitoring Aloy’s hormones and DNA since she entered the age range and I am happy to inform you that there are no indications that she will enter pubescence yet” ELEUTHIA butted in, attempting to soothe the older forced hybrid.
“Oh thank god! I was about to have a stroke”
“That can change at any moment. It will more than likely happen overnight. One night she has the body and mind of an average nine-year-old girl and the next morning she has the body and mind of a teenager. And then there is the chance that puberty for her could be insanely short. It will be would be the same scenario but instead of having the body and mind of a teenager, Aloy would have the body and mind of a grown woman”
Elisabet looked like she was going to either pass out or throw up.
“MINERVA!” ELEUTHIA yelled.
“What? I’m just saying…”
“Don’t worry before my creator’s demise, she left me the knowledge on how to prevent this from happening from several human, hellbeast, and valkyrie researchers who studied your DNA” APOLLO soothed.
For the first time in her life, Elisabet was more than thankful for people being nosy about her forced hybridization.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aloy felt like her mother didn’t love her anymore. When she wanted to spend time with her the older woman would act like she was a bother more than anything else. All she wanted was for her mother to love her and be happy.“Dez! Come here! We need to talk!” Elisabet called from inside the workspace. Aloy didn’t even realize she was on the verge of tears until she heard her mother calling for her. Quickly she wiped her tears away, Aloy hastily made her way towards her home. In her haste, however, she didn’t realize her scarf had gotten caught on one of the training dummies outside of Rost’s cabin, ripping the fabric.
She decided to go look for Varl. Maybe they could hang out for a little while until she felt like going home. The last time she’d seen him was near Brom’s camp. Aloy knew she would get in more trouble the longer she was in the woods by herself but she didn’t care. She didn’t want to go back to the cabin yet. It was only when she heard heavy footsteps rushing towards her and a group of men grabbed her did she realize she was followed. She tried to scream for help but a hand clamped down tight on her mouth. “Quite you demon!” one man hissed. She bit down on his hand as hard as she could, causing him to scream and release her. Gotta get back home. As Aloy made a mad dash towards the mountain when an arrow landed in her side. “What should we do with this abomination, Resh?” the youngest of the group asked as the men walked towards her. The oldest man of the group, Resh, flashed her an evil smile, snatching her Focus away and crushing it, before throwing it as hard as he could into the woods. “We’re going to turn this little she-devil against her blaspheme of a mother, and then we’ll get rid of her once she isn’t of use to us anymore” He replied in a language Aloy had never heard before. She didn’t need to understand what they were saying, whatever it was, wasn’t good by the way the men looked at her. She started to feel sleepy. “What did you lace that arrow with?” she heard one of the men say. “Something that will have her knocked out for the rest of the day. Maybe even all of tomorrow too.”
Mom where are you?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ELISABET
“Dez?” Elisabet called again. She waited a short while before she began to follow the girl's scent. She went to Rost…why am I not surprised. She thought. “Rost? You there?” Elisabet yelled as she banged on the door. “Elisabet? What do you want.” A very sleepy man asked as he opened the door. “ Is Aloy here? She ran off after we had an argument again” “What? No. She’s not here. Is that what all that yelling was about?” Elisabet’s face paled. ‘If she’s not here then why is her scent so strong here?’ Looking out towards her right she noticed something lying in the snow beneath one of the training dummies. It looked like some sort of long torn cloth. “ Elisabet? What is it?” She ignored Rost as she walked over to the pair of dummies. Kicking the snow off of the cloth, she reached down and grabbed it.
A piece of Aloy’s scarf.
The one she made for the girl when she was a baby. The one she was wearing when she ran out of the bunker earlier. Why was it torn? Did someone hurt her? Panic flared in Elisabet’s mind as she assumed the worst.
“MINERVA are you there?”
“Yes, Elisabet. How can I be of assistance?”
“MINERVA I need you to track Aloy’s focus. ”
“One moment…. Sending her last known coordinates to your focus now. Is everything ok?”
“I don’t know yet. Thanks for the coordinates”
“Elisabet, wait! I’ll come with you” Rost called out. She faced him, clearly confused. “Why? I thought you didn’t like me.”
“I don’t like you, but I harbor no ill will towards Aloy. If she’s missing I want to help find her.” Elisabet pursed her lips. “Fine”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elisabet reached the coordinates before Rost did. A perk of having enhanced speed. She thought. “Aloy! Come on it’s time to go home!” She called out. She’s gonna be grounded for two months when I find her. “Did you find anything yet?” Rost asked, having just arrived.”No, not yet.” Elisabet growled.
“Why don’t you use that focus thing to reach her?”
“I’ve tried. She’s not answering and I’m getting worried.” Elisabet gritted her teeth, a nervous tick she's had since childhood. Rost grunted, “Let’s split up. I’ll go check southwest” Elisabet nodded, turning to the northeast. “If you find anything, shout!” Rost shouted. “Yea, Yea”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elisabet was about to give up on the search when she caught wind of Aloy’s scent. “Dezzy?” As she continued the scent not only grew stronger but began to mix with something that she hoped wasn’t what she thought it was. It was only when she came across a crushed Focus laying half-buried in the snow did she realize her worst fear was coming true. Someone took Aloy. “DEZ!” Elisabet knew it was worthless to shout for the girl but it didn’t stop her. “ Elisabet I suggest using your focus to see what happened” APOLLO’s voice seemed to snap her out of her panic. Quickly activating the tracking feature on her Focus she managed to make her way to a clearing.” Elisabet! There you are! Did you find somethi-” Faster than the attacker could comprehend, Elisabet pulled out her knife pressing it to her would-be attacker’s throat, only pulling away when she saw it was only Rost. She was about to yell at him for sneaking up on her but the words never left her mouth when she saw a bright red stain in the snow with an arrow not that far from it. Her anxiety shot through the roof when she realized that Aloy’s scent was coming from that direction as well. No please God, don’t let it be Aloy’s blood.
But it was.
Someone shot Aloy. Someone tried to kill the young girl.
Her little girl.
Her baby.
This can’t be happening.
“Elisabet?” She hears Rost call her name but she tunes him out.
She needed to find Aloy.
She needed to find whoever took her precious little girl from her and make them pay.
Nothing else mattered.
She couldn’t lose her, too. Not after her friends. Not after her mother. Not after she lost Henry.
This is your fault!
No… th-that’s…. that’s not true...
If you had just been a better mother and spent more time with her she would have never run out of the bunker!
No… I’m not a bad mother….
You don’t even pay attention to her anymore!
I need to focus on stopping HADES and rebuilding GAIA so she can grow up without having to fear that a homicidal AI would destroy the world! I-
“Elisabet! What did you-?”
“Someone took my baby” Elisabet cut Rost off before he could finish his sentence. She was unable to take her eyes off of the bloodstain. She wasn’t even aware that she was crying until she felt her tears hit her hand. In a trancelike state, she stood up and began to walk away. “Where are you going?” Rost called after her. “To find whoever took my little girl and kill them”
Don’t worry baby. Momma’s gonna find you.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Five months later
ELISABET
Elisabet hadn’t slept properly in over two months. She was so close to finding Aloy but whoever had taken Aloy was always one step ahead of her. She just wanted her little girl back. “Elisabet, I got the High Matriarchs to get the Braves to look for her as well. Now go get some sleep,” Rost said, grabbing the woman’s arm when she tried to leave the campfire. “I’ll sleep when One, I find my daughter or two, I’m dead” she snarled, jerking her arm out of his grip. Rost knew what he was about to do was risky but Elisabet needed rest. “You’re no use to Aloy if you’re a sleep-deprived mess” he stated as he grabbed the redhead by her waist in an attempt to subdue her. “LET GO OF ME ROST!”
“Will you get some sleep?
“NOT UNTIL I FIND DEZ!” Elisabet was struggling to get the upper hand when Teersa came towards them. “Elisabet! We think we found the kidnapper’s hiding place!” “Where?” Elisabet asked, breaking free of Rost’s grasp. “The Ring of Metal”
“Rost, how far is the Ring of Metal from here?”
“A least a day’s trip from here."
“Good. We’ll leave as soon a possible”
“ I will notify the Braves and Sona to meet you there. May the All-Mother watch over you” Teersa said as she leaves.
“ We’ll leave first thing in the morning.” Elisabet grunts “ I’ll take first watch." Rost offered, Elisabet nodded as she laid down. I hope Aloy’s ok...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ALOY FIRST PERSON
Everything hurts. I just want it to stop. I wanna go home. Please make it stop.
“She-devil.” Oh great.
“Leave me alone you monster.” I try my best to sound intimidating but Resh laughs at me.
“Does the little she-devil still think she can intimidate me?” He laughs.
“When my mother gets here you’ll regret ever laying a hand on me!” I growl. Resh laughs even harder at me. “Haven’t you figured it out yet? Your mother isn’t coming.” “You’re lying!” It’s become harder trying not to cry in front of him, but I have to fight the tears. I know he wants me to cry, but I won’t let him get what he wants. “ It’s been five months. If your mother truly cared for you she would have found you by now.” He’s right. If mother loved me she would have found me by now. “Soon the rest of the Nora will see you and your mother for what you two truly are, abominations to the All-Mother” He punched me again. I wanted to cry. I wanted it to just stop. “Please just stop!” Resh smirked as he tilted my head up.
“I don’t think so filth”

Chapter Text
ROYAL GODS AU
Took some inspiration from Warhammer, I don’t know much about it though.
In this AU Ted didn’t fuck everyone over (he tried and failed). APOLLO did malfunction for some cradles, however. The parts of the world that are technologically advanced have already colonized other planets and solar systems by the time HZD happens. Rost was the previous ‘God Emperor’ of the Twilight empire (known to his people as Rost the Great; If you can’t already tell the moon is an important part of the empire’s culture and I thought it be cool to see a society worship mainly the moon and view the moon as more important than the sun) and took Aloy from the Nora when he discovered them attempting to kill her as an infant. He still dies protecting Aloy however, only Aloy is much younger (age 7) and everything happens much faster because she has an entire empire that wants the people responsible for their beloved emperor dead. When Rost dies he transfers all of his godly abilities to Aloy but wishes for her to become an eternal empress which comes true. By doing this he made Aloy immortal. She can also give the gift of immortality to whoever she pleases and give them powers as well. During her first visit to GAIA Prime Aloy wakes up the Alpha’s and they help put a stop to HADES.
Since she is too young to take the throne, her Aunt Minerva becomes the Empress. She continues to teach Aloy about their empire and how to be a leader so Aloy can take the throne once she steps down. A few years after defeating HADES, Aloy being Rost’s only child and heir, Aloy is crowned the ‘God Empress’ of the Twilight Empire and becomes the most powerful woman not only on the planet but all of the Earth colonies across the galaxy (aged 17). Around this time is when GAIA is rebuilt. To her people, she is known as Empress Aloy Kassandra Sobeck or Aloy the Beautiful among other nicknames. Because Elisabet is her ‘mother’ she is known as Duchess Elisabet Sobeck . The other Alpha’s have been given the titles such as duchess/duke as well. GAIA also has the title duchess because fuck it why not. Shortly after getting GAIA back to full strength, Aloy and Varl get married (they had been betrothed since before they could even walk and yes Varl is a prince in this AU; aged 18). Varl has a head full of dreads along with a stubble beard. Also, Aloy has a slight accent (she has the same accent as the natives in the game GreedFall) that becomes more noticeable the more excited she gets because why not and also the seat of the empire is in modern-day Ireland.
AU WHERE ELISABET ADOPTES ALOY’S 5 FRIENDS AND A TODDLER THAT ALOY STOLE OR HZD WITH SOME HARRY POTTER ELEMENTS
Aloy was kidnapped when she was a baby because the Sobeck’s of this earth are an ancient and extremely powerful line of Oscoris ( sco-ris ; multiversal magic) users before the events leading up to HZD (she was born when Lis was in her early twenties/late teens) by the mysterious company [I really need to come up with a name for them] and was experimented on. Later she returned to her home universe (for her it was only six years, not the twenty-seven years it was for Elisabet), along with her teammates and a toddler she stole. Elisabet never had to sacrifice herself for everyone's safety because she used her oscoris to seal the doors and then everyone was put in cryostasis. Nearly 1000 years later, THEEYANA (a powerful multiversal AI; kinda like a goddess) wakes Elisabet and the alpha’s up when Aloy is unable to. Together they all stop HADES and rebuild GAIA with THEEYANA’s help. THEEYANA starts taking large groups of humans and educating them on their past and more on magic and on oscoris. Eventually, after pulling some strings The Citadel agreed to help the people of this earth get to the point they should have been at. Aloy’s teammates don't actually have real names; they go by code names or nicknames so Elisabet names them all. It should be noted that in this AU it’s a tradition for a Sobeck to be named after a famous person from any mythology really or a celestial body. Example: Elisabet’s middle name is Andromeda. (Yes the Sobeck’s are kinda like the Black’s from Harry Potter but they're not pureblood supremacists. Yes, they practice dark magic, but they practice all kinds of magic). Ted is still alive, but older now and was charged for his crimes against humanity. (Yes, I got inspiration from A Lightkeeper in The Dark)
THE KIDS NICKNAMES AND REAL NAMES, AGES, NOTES ABOUT THEM (3 girls and 3 boys):
Aloy- Atalanta Cassiopeia Sobeck, 7 yrs old; Aloy is just a nickname along with Lil Artemis, little wolf ( only her mother can call her that), little duck (her grandma would call her that when she was still alive, sometimes Lis calls her it too), and a few others. She and her mother are the most powerful pureblooded oscoris users and the reason their oscoris is so powerful is because they are Vehreapollmen ( veh-ra-e-po-le-men; hellbeast ) hybrids and not totally human (Elisabet is something like one 15th human and Aloy is like one 20th human).
Bomber- Achilles Rigel Sobeck, 8 yrs old; he’s known for making bombs and breaking into things. He mostly goes by Rigel.
Huey- Leo Endymion Sobeck, 5 yrs old; the shyest out of all them.
Mini Gaia- Bellatrix (Bella) Cyrene Sobeck, 6 yrs old; third oldest behind Aloy and Achilles, was called Mini Gaia as a joke because she looks so much like GAIA the AI and she absolutely hates it. She was actually given the name Bellatrix by Aloy and then the name Cyrene by Elisabet after Aloy introduced Bella to her mother.
Daisy- Pandora Lyra Sobeck, 2 yrs old; she's the youngest and most well behaved out of all of them,
Delta - Draco Oisín (oh-SHEEN ) Sobek, 4 yrs old; second youngest out of all of them and by far the most talkative
All of them are insanely protective of their mother. Basically, this AU is just Elisabet Sobeck adopts 5 homicidal former child soldiers who have never been shown any affection, then proceeds to give them all the love in the world. That being said she is not fazed one bit when she finds out that one of her kids tried to kill somebody because she expects it to happen. She would be surprised if they didn't try and kill someone. When this happens Lis gets this deadpan look and just goes “Again? It's not even lunch yet!” Later on Elisabet would go on to have twin boys when Aloy is 14 and the kids are really protective of their new baby brothers. (May come back and add some more stuff)
Chapter 8: I failed you (Aloy and Elisabet) PT 2
Summary:
TRIGGER WARNING: This does briefly describe child abuse
Notes:
I forgot to mention that Elisabet is a foot shorter than the lady from the new Resident Evil game (8’6 with shoes) due to the experiments that were done on her. She and Aloy can also shapeshift. Because of the experiments done on her, this Elisabet looks vastly different from canon Elisabet. She hides her true form by mostly changing her form into what she would have looked like if she were still human, keeping some of her unnatural features mostly for intimidation effect. Later on in her life, Aloy will have to do the same thing. GAIA is brought back because HADES can’t take control of all the machines worldwide since only the cradle in the western side of the US malfunctioned and didn’t have APOLLO. The rest of the world has advanced far beyond what the people of Elisabet’s time had and has installed safety measures to ensure HADES can’t do massive damage with the help of Elisabet over the years. He’s still a big threat to the western side of the US though. [again I will more than likely come back and add things to this AU] Also I will come back later and fix any mistakes.
Chapter Text
ONE DAY LATER
ELISABET AND ROST
Rost could feel Elisabet’s rage radiating off the woman as she continued on her warpath through the small camps that surrounded the Ring of Metal. His anger towards the rogue Braves was nowhere near as hot as the redhead's in front of him. Though he would never admit it, seeing Elisabet like this terrified him. He briefly wondered how such a seemingly normal woman could cause so much death and destruction that rivaled what both a Thunderjaw and a Stormbird could do combined. ‘Elisabet isn’t normal. She’s not even human’ Rost reminded himself. He thought back to the first camp they cleared and how Elisabet ripped a grown man in half with her bare hands in a rage.
Rost had always known Aloy and Elisabet weren’t completely human, Aloy being more human-looking than her mother. At first glance, the older redhead looked like an ordinary person (if she was sitting), but the longer Rost spent with Elisabet the more inhuman things he noticed about her like her pointy ears, claws, razor-sharp teeth but most of all her ungodly height. He thought her a demon at first, but when she saved a large Nora hunting party from a Thunderjaw he realized she meant no harm to anyone. Which is why it was such a shock for someone to take her daughter when Elisabet had done nothing but help the Nora.
“Rost!” Sona called out to him. “Our scouts have reported back. The camp appears to be filled with rogue Nora as well as what looks like Carja.” Elisabet’s head snapped up at the mention of Carja, her eyes narrowing. “Did you say Carja?” Sona nodded slightly. “Yes, but these are no ordinary Carja though.” The redhead’s lip drew back in a snarl, shaking her head. ‘Of course, the Shadow Carja would have a hand in Aloy’s kidnapping.’ “How many Carja were there, Sona?” Her tone made the entire war party shiver. “At least two dozen. Maybe more.” Sona watched Elisabet closely as a strange eager look flashed across the woman’s face before she forced it away. It was like something deep down in Elisabet had stirred, a part of herself she kept imprisoned in the deepest darkest part of her psyche, and after years of neglect it had woken up and it was hungry . “We strike at night.” Sona knew that things weren’t going to end well for those Caraj and Nora. If only she knew just how much worse they were about to get.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NIGHTFALL
Seeing Elisabet fight made Sona realize how much of a bad idea it was to cross the redhead. Rost had spoken of Aloy and Elisabet’s ‘ gifts ’ before but she never believed him, until she witnessed the older redhead rip a rogue Brave’s head clean off with a single punch. It shocked her so much that she didn’t notice that one of the Shadow Carja had snuck up on her until Rost took him out.
“D-did she j-just?” She sputtered.
“Punch a man in the head so hard that his head was ripped off his body? Yeah, she does that when she’s in a rage.” Rost replied as he fired off another arrow.
“But how?!”
“Stop worrying about how and worry more about not dying right now!” Rost snapped.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elisabet let out a snarl as she violently threw the rouge Braves on the ground. If you could even call him that. He was just a kid, no older than 16, and instead of hanging out with people the same age as him, he was fighting alongside these idiots. She was originally going to spare him, maybe scare some sense into the kid, and make him go running back to his family hopefully with a new life lesson about being careful who you decide to befriend and hang out with, but that was before she heard him laughing with his buddies about all the fun he was going to have with Dez once their leader Resh was done with her, just like he’d done with all their other female prisoners when she was sneaking around the camp to let the others in. None of those girls could have been any older than Dez and from what she'd been told by a male prisoner she’d freed earlier Dez was the oldest female there, the youngest had only just turned five yesterday . His friends had already died by her hand, and soon he would too, once she got whatever information she could out of him. “Please! Mercy!” He cried out. “Mercy? Do you think you deserve to be giving mercy after the way you talked about how you were going to have so much fun with my daughter just like how you did with the other little girls?!”
Elisabet pressed the tip of her spear to the boy’s chest. “Tell me where my daughter is, and maybe, maybe , I’ll make your death quick.” The boy wept harder as he spoke, “S-she’s in a hidden underground part of the Ring w-with our leader Resh! I-I can bring you there!” Elisabet yanked the boy to his feet by his shoulder, her eyes shifted from their normal meadow green to a glowing crimson as she tightened her grip on his shoulder terrifying the boy even more before she forced them back to their normal when she smelt Sona and Rost approaching. “Anything?” Rost asked. “This one said he can take us to where they’re keeping Dez. Be on your guard.” The two nodded, readying themselves for another fight.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UNDER THE RING OF METAL
Aloy was huddled in the furthest corner of the dark cell, shivering from both fear and the cold. She felt like a coward and she hated it . She hated how Resh easily kidnapped her, how he didn’t even flinch when she bit him or clawed his face when she fought back, but most of all she hated that smug look he had. Not that she could even see what he looked like anymore. Not only was she blindfolded, but her eyes were almost completely swollen shut from the numerous times he punched her in the face, but that wasn’t the only damage he’d done to her. Resh had broken her left leg earlier in the day and she was sure he broke some of her ribs along with a lot of other things.
“Are you ready to obey me now, She-devil?” Aloy let out a growl that turned into a whine when he kicked her in the chest. “N-never…” She hissed weakly as she coughed blood on his shoes. Resh dragged her out of the cell and into a large and mostly caved in area. He grabbed his spear from its holding place before he kicked the hybrid on her back so she was in the center of the room. Standing over Aloy’s broken body, Resh readied his spear to deliver a killing blow.
“Shame really. You would’ve made the perfect weapon. I’m going to enjoy watching you bleed. Goodbye, she-”
“Step away from the girl, Resh” Rost growled.
“Who’s there?!” Resh spun around looking for the intruder. Suddenly a body was thrown into the room with such force, that when it hit the ground next to him it shook the entire room. Glancing at the body, Resh realized that it was the boy he’d recruited two months ago. His body was mutilated but most notably his jaw had been torn off and his eyes were gouged out, but something was off with his chest piece. To Resh’s horror, when he inspected farther, the boy’s chest had been hacked open and his missing jaw was placed where the boy’s heart should have been.
“All-Mother protects me! I am her chosen!” Resh cried furiously, rushing away from Aloy and the fresh corpse.
This time Sona spoke in a harsh tone, “You are a blaspheme! You bring shame to the Nora!”
Resh looked on in terror when he couldn’t figure out where the voices were coming from.
‘Rost ?’ Aloy weakly lifted her head slightly when she recognized the man’s scent. She heard the sound of arrows flying past her head then a pained cry, followed by the sound of multiple running footsteps. “Aloy!” Rost ran to the girl, gently scooping her up in his arms, while Sona and some of the Braves restrained Resh, dragging him to the surface. ‘In the end, Resh was right… Mom didn’t even come to see if I was alright.’ Aloy began to cry. “It’s alright, Aloy. You're safe now. Come on, let's get you to your mother.” She tried to thank him for saving her but was shushed again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OUTSIDE
“Get that son of a bitch outta here while I still have some sort of control over myself! Me and him are gonna have a nice long chat later, I don’t give a damn what the High Matriarchs say!” Elisabet roared as the Braves took off with the striders she’d overrode earlier. She was still pissed at Rost and Sona for making her go back at the last minute, but she knew that if she saw Aloy in the condition that had been described to her by the other prisoners then she surely would have killed Resh the moment her eyes laid on her baby. The poor girl had seen enough violence and the last thing Elisabet wanted was to scar her any more than she had already been.
“Elisabet! Over here!” Elisabet spun around to see Rost carrying Aloy’s trembling body out of the underground and what little restraint she had left vanished the moment she realized Aloy was bleeding heavily and was sobbing. Within a blink of an eye, Elisabet was in front of Rost gently taking her fragile daughter into her arms but accidentally bumped into the girl’s side causing her to scream in pain, and Elisabet’s heart shattered. Her heart breaks into even more pieces when Aloy tries to go back to Rost. “Dezzy, it’s me, mom! I was so worried about you…I’m so sorry sweetheart.” Elisabet attempted to soothe the frightened 9-year-old, but Aloy just tried harder to get out of her mother's grasp and kept trying to scream again but nothing would come out. Everything hurt and she just wanted to be anywhere but with her mother. She began to have a coughing fit, causing even more pain until it became too much for her and she passed out, almost causing her mother and Rost to drop her.
“DEZ!? SWEETHEART!?” Elisabet began to panic when she saw blood come out of Aloy's mouth before the girl passed out. Rost was about to say something about Aloy needing to be checked out by the medic and made a move to take Aloy back but stopped dead in his tracks when he heard Elisabet let out a guttural growl. A warning. The person in front of him was no longer the Elisabet he had just fought side by side with, no, this was the side of Elisabet he saw earlier before the attack. This was an Elisabet who was fully giving in to her instincts, who wouldn't hesitate to kill him if provoked. Rost backed away with his hands up, eyes wide and fearful. “It's me Elisabet, Rost. I’m a friend” Rost gulped as the forced hybrid’s eyes flashed silver as she watched him like a hawk. “Elisabet, Aloy needs to be looked at by a healer,” Elisabet let out another growl, holding her daughter closer to her body, “I’m taking her to get help.” She took off running once Aloy was secure in her arms, leaving a bewildered Sona and very terrified Rost behind. “First she’s strong enough to rip a man’s head off with a single punch, now she can run faster than a machine? What can’t she do?!” Sona exclaimed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TWO MONTHS LATER
ELEUTHIA 9
Elisabet sat in a chair typing away at code, taking a break every few minutes to look at her currently comatose daughter before diving headfirst into the code again. It had been nearly two months since she and the Nora Braves rescued Aloy from Resh. Once Aloy received the medical attention she needed Elisabet immediately went to work interrogating those who worked with Resh. Elisabet knew the next time she saw the man she was going to kill him for what he did to Aloy.
‘He wanted to either use Dez as a weapon against me or make her see me as a monster and make her terrified of me’ Elisabet grimaced at the thought as she glanced back at Aloy, tears were already beginning to form when she wiped them away. ‘I would never hurt you Dezzy. I hope you know that kiddo.’
“Elisabet? Are you alright? You called for me and-” She smiled when she heard that voice. “Yeah GAIA. I’m fine just checking on Aloy, is all. I just wanted to chat.” Elisabet had always thought GAIA to be her second daughter and now that she was back it was like a hole had been filled in her heart. Elisabet smiled as she told GAIA stories from when Aloy was younger and of her travels. Just as she was in the middle of the story of when Aloy was just starting to learn how to handle a bow, a subtle change in the air caught her attention. Elisabet’s eyes snapped towards Aloy to see the now ten-year-old pressing her body against the wall, looking at her with wide fearful eyes. “Dez, you’re awake!” Elisabet had to restrain herself from giving the girl a crushing hug and launching into full overprotective mama mode. The last thing she wanted was to overwhelm her.
“W-what’s going on? Where are we? Wh-where’s Re-Resh?” Elisabet felt her murderous rage towards Resh flare up again when Aloy’s voice shook with fear, but not of her but of the man who spent 5 months doing gods know what to her.
“You're in ELEUTHIA 9, kiddo. You’re safe, that bastard can’t hurt you anymore.”
“Is-is he dead?”
“No. Not yet but he will be. I promise you, sweetheart, he’s gonna regret fucking with the Sobeck’s,” and Elisabet meant it. She was going to make sure Resh would die a slow and painful death. She stood up and straightened her clothes a little before turning towards the door, before speaking. “You’ve been sleeping for the last two months kiddo. You must be starving. I’ll fix you something small to start you off, in the meantime talk with GAIA, APOLLO, MINERVA, or ELEUTHIA and they’ll fill you in on everything you missed.” GAIA was going to protest but Elisabet was already out the door.
“So you’re GAIA?”
“Yes….What do you want to talk about?”
“What were the other alphas like?” GAIA smiled softly before she described her time with Elisabet and the others at Prime.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LATER THAT DAY
Aloy and Elisabet had decided to head back to their cabin for the night since Aloy had missed her bed. After fixing up a new focus for the girl Elisabet had found while on her travels, the mother-daughter duo wished the AIs a good night before setting off. The trip back to the cabin was uneventful, mostly because Elisabet wouldn’t let go of Aloy’s hand for more than a few minutes or let the girl out of her sight. ‘Now you care about me?’ Aloy thought bitterly but held her tongue. All of those negative thoughts from those 5 months of hell were rearing their ugly head again, and her newfound anger towards her mother. “You ok kiddo? Do you need any help?” Elisabet asked when she noticed Aloy limping on her left leg.
“No thanks. I can do this by myself.” Aloy replied rather curtly, picking up her pace to prove her point. Elisabet frowned, Aloy wasn’t normally so snippy with her. She seemed fine when talking to the subfunctions and was getting along wonderfully with GAIA much to her relief, but when it was just the two of them alone, she could see a kind of resentment towards her in Aloy’s eyes. ‘It must be about me not spending time with her and pushing her away,’ Elisabet’s frown deepened even more at the thought. ‘That’s going to change along with a lot of other things, I’ll make sure of it. From this point on I’ll be a better mother. For the both of us.’
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TWO AND HALF WEEKS LATER
Things between Aloy and Elisabet weren’t improving much at all, especially with some of Aloy's abilities awakening, and it was worrying Elisabet to no end. Aloy had gone from being snippy at her to sometimes being downright hostile towards her. It didn’t help that Elisabet had started to refuse to let Aloy go anywhere farther than Mother’s Watch without her or someone that Elisabet trusted to accompany the girl. Things hit a breaking point when the High Matriarchs started to allow the Nora to freely travel beyond the Sacred Lands.
“Why not?!” Aloy yelled.
“Because I said so! You are not going outside the Sacred Lands with Rost to hunt a damn Thunderjaw and that’s final! Your leg is still messed up!” Elisabet snapped.
“No, it isn’t! It’s perfectly fine, you’re just being overbearing!”
“GAIA, help me out here!”
Both of their focus’s hummed to life and Elisabet swore she heard chuckles from the subfunctions before GAIA’s projection appeared in front of them with a tired look. “I’m begging you please, please don’t drag me into this,” the AI pleaded. “Too late. Now would you kindly explain to my darling daughter here, that I, in fact, am not overbearing!” Aloy glared at her mother before snarling, “GAIA, would you be an absolute sweetheart and tell my lovely mother that she’s gone off the deep end smothering me!” GAIA sighed as she ran her hand down her face before pinching the bridge of her nose. “You’re both in the wrong here! Aloy, Elisabet is right about your leg still being injured. It hasn't finished healing and it could heal wrong if you're not careful. Elisabet, Aloy is right about you being overbearing. You need to let the girl have her own space, sometimes!”
“When she stops being reckless I will!”
Aloy didn’t like that. She didn’t like that at all . Aloy grabbed her hunting knife and bow before storming out with Elisabet not far behind her. “And just where do you think you’re going?” Aloy didn’t reply. She needed to get away from here. Away from her mother, before things escalated even more. “Aloy answer me-” Elisabet’s eyes widened in anger when Aloy used one of her abilities to not only run away from her but to make it impossible to tell which way she went. Fear replaced her anger but quickly turned back to anger when she realized she couldn’t smell the girl’s scent. “GAIA, MINERVA, someone get a location on her focus now ! She’s fresh meat with a leg like that,” her focus hummed to life again. “It will take a little while. She’s managed to encrypt her location to make her harder but not impossible to find. Seems she shares both yours and Henry’s talent for coding.” Now Elisabet was pissed. Sure she was happy her daughter had inherited her and her late husband’s natural talent for coding but she would celebrate that later. “You have control over the machines right GAIA? Can see what they see?” GAIA could practically feel Elisabet shaking in rage, and she couldn’t blame her. “Somewhat. I’ll let you know if I find something.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aloy couldn’t believe it. She had just teleported outside Varl’s camp in front of a very confused and startled Varl. “WHAT IN THE NAME OF THE ALL-MOTHER?!” Varl screamed, throwing the wooden plate he was holding which ended up hitting Aloy in the chest. “It's me, you big dummy!” Aloy growled, smacking him up the head.
“How did you do that?”
“Do what?”
“Get here so fast. I didn’t hear you at all.”
“I teleported,” Aloy replied casually, taking a spot at the campfire.
Varl’s eyes widened. “You can teleport? Awesome!”
Aloy laughed a little at that. Not too long after Varl began to bombard her with questions ranging from what happened to her and if she was ok. “I’m fine now, really. I just…. I just needed to get away from my mother.” Varl nodded before giving her a tight hug. “You wanna talk about it?” Aloy shook her head. “Not now. I wanna have fun!” Varl smiled mischievously when he saw the familiar twinkle in Aloy’s eyes. “I know just the thing…”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Smart girl, but mama’s smarter,” Elisabet huffed. After half of the day had passed Elisabet, GAIA, and MINERVA had finally uncovered Aloy’s location. “Let’s see… She’s not that far away. Just a 10-minute walk.” MINERVA commented. “Elisabet, try not to be harsh on her,” GAIA pleaded with the redhead as she gathered herself off of the ground. Elisabet scoffed, “She’s ran away twice now GAIA. I’m gonna build her a shock collar and make it impossible to take off unless I take it off of her.” MINERVA chuckled while GAIA gasped in horror. “You wouldn’t!”
“At this point, I would,” Elisabet grunted.
“Elisabet-”
“Look we can talk about this later when Aloy is home safe, ok? Then you can scold me all you want.” GAIA didn’t respond. Elisabet began to camouflage herself, masking both her sounds and scent, when she started to hear Aloy’s and Varl’s voices growing near, stopping when she was close enough to hear the two ten-year-olds chatting. “That was awesome! Did you see the look on his face?” The two laughed. “So why are you angry with your mother? Besides her not letting you go with Rost that is,” Varl asked in between bites of his freshly cooked food. “I don’t know what you're talking about,” Aloy replied casually as she continued to throw rocks at the practice dummy Varl had set up. “Aloy you’re my best friend. I know you and I know when you're upset. From what you told me you’ve seemed to be really mad at your mother for a while now,” He stated.
Aloy sighed, dropping her head. “Fine. You wanna know what’s wrong with me?” Varl nodded. “For nearly three years now my mother has been disappearing for months on end, going on trips that she can’t tell me about. At first, the trips were few and short but as time went on I saw her less and less. It got to the point of me begging her to stay with me. She practically abandoned me with Rost half of the year! When she’s not in her bunker working, she’s sleeping or on another one of her trips west! She hardly even acknowledges that I exist half the time!”
Elisabet felt her throat tighten. Did Aloy truly think that? “That’s not true. Your mother does love you! She rescued you didn’t she?” Varl objected. That only made Aloy angry and sent her into a rant, “Oh come on Varl! It took her five months to find me. FIVE FUCKING MONTHS OF TORTURE! If she even remotely loved or cared about me she would have tried harder to find me! She has super hearing and a sense of smell that is hundreds of times stronger than that of a human, she has no excuse for not finding me sooner! Do you know who the first person to comfort me while I was crying and quite literally bleeding on the inside from all of the wounds Resh gave me was? Rost. Not my mother. She was outside and once she did attempt to comfort me she only made the pain worse . Then she decided to replace me with an AI that’s been dead for the past ten years or so while I was in a fucking coma . WHILE I WAS IN A FUCKING COMA VARL! Elisabet Sobeck hasn’t loved nor cared about me in a long fucking time Varl and at this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if she had a secret family and was going to see them during her ‘trips’. She might as fucking well. And don’t try to convince me to go back, because I’m not. Yet anyways.”
Elisabet felt sick to her stomach. ‘I have to leave.’ Quietly, she made her way back to the cabin when she heard Aloy agree to let Varl walk with her home. “We’ll watch over them during their walk Elisabet. I’ll try to talk to Aloy. See if I can calm her down” She heard one of the AI say, but she didn’t know who. Before she even knew it she was right outside the cabin. That’s when she threw up. Elisabet threw up until she was in tears from dry heaving. She started sobbing when she stopped dry heaving. Of course, Aloy would think she didn’t love her! All of this was her fault and her fault alone. Worse of all, she didn’t know how to fix it. ‘If Henry or Mom were here they could help me.’ She shook her head at the thought. If her mother or Henry were here none of this would have happened because neither would ever allow her to abandon her daughter. The two of them must be cursing her for her short-sightedness from beyond the grave. Elisabet had to make things right, but she didn’t know if she could.
For the first time in a long time, Elisabet Sobeck was well and truly hopelessly lost.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was dark when Aloy made it back to the cabin. After spending some more time with Varl and having a talk with GAIA and APOLLO about her and her relationship with her mother that went nowhere, Aloy wanted nothing more than to eat and go to bed. Before she even stepped foot in the cabin, however, she immediately knew something was off. Sitting in the main area of the cabin next to the fireplace, was her mother singing an old lullaby that she would sing to her whenever she had a nightmare or refused to sleep. When her mother’s voice cracked slightly she noticed that she was crying. “Mother?” Elisabet spun around in her seat startled. It was then that Aloy saw that she was holding one of her old toys from when she was little, not only that but she looked different from earlier. Her eyes were red and puffy, but they also looked a little sunk in as well as her cheeks. ‘She never cries. Somethings wrong’ “Dezzy! I was just about to go looking for you again,” Elisabet quickly wiped her tears away. Aloy raised an eyebrow. “Again? What do you mean again?” Her mother smiled softly, “I went out to find you earlier but you still seemed pretty upset with me so thought it would be best for you to cool off before I brought you back home. GAIA said she would watch over you….” Aloy stared at her mother for a while before she sat down at the dining table and spoke. “Hmm. Is there any more bread left?”
“Oh! You’re hungry, aren’t you! I already have something fixed,” Elisabet hastily went into the kitchen area of the cabin before the girl could protest and came back out with two bowls, setting one in front of Aloy before she took her seat opposite of the younger redhead. “Rabbit stew?” Aloy asked suspiciously. “I know it’s your favorite and I was planning on making it for dinner,” Elisabet replied anxiously. The two ate dinner in silence for a while before it was too much for Elisabet to handle anymore. “Dez, I-... Do you know why I was going on trips to the sundom so much?”
“Nope,” Aloy replied with a pop, not looking up from her food.
“I told you about what happened to GAIA Prime and why you and I are the only survivors, but I didn’t tell you everything.”
Aloy made a noise signaling Elisabet to continue.
“When GAIA was destroyed her subfunctions were released into the world. You’ve already met APOLLO, MINERVA, and ELEUTHIA but there are still more out there. Before I moved you to E9 while you were in a coma, there was an attack. A banuk woman named Vail had tried to have you kidnapped while I was hunting. Rost, who was injured at the time, fought them off with the help of MINERVA. Her reasoning was because a ‘Damon’ told her to do it and he would stop killing her tribe members. That Damon was HEPHAESTUS, one of GAIA’s subfunctions. I had to travel to Ban-Ur to stop him.”
“The reason I was able to stop him was because of the things I salvaged from my trips to the sundom. There are a lot of things there that were related to Project Zero Dawn, and I needed them to be able to stop the most dangerous subfunction of them all, HADES. HADES was made in case GAIA messed up on fixing the earth. He's essentially a reset button for the entire planet. If he isn’t stopped…. ”
“Then there'll be another global extinction.” Aloy gave her mother a hard look. “Why couldn't you tell me this?”
“Because I didn't want you to grow up thinking that you had to fight alongside me in defending the world. I didn't want to lose you because of my mistake in not putting safety measures in place so this would never happen. I wanted you to only worry about being a kid and not worry about if this was the last time you would ever see me or Rost. It was selfish, I know that now.” Elisabet gulped down the lump that had been forming in her throat.
“Did you ever stop to think what would have happened if you had died? What would have happened to me?” Aloy raised her voice, her anger getting the best of her. Elisabet shook her head slightly before taking a deep breath. “I wanted to protect you,”
“Protect me? That’s rich! You only think about everyone else except for me, your daughter! ”
“Despite what you think Dez I do love you, more than you’ll ever know”
“What?”
“When I went to go look for you earlier I found you with Varl at his camp and heard everything. Dez, I’m so sorry that I made you feel like I never cared or loved you. That’s the furthest thing from the truth. I did all those things because I love you kiddo, and I realize now that I should have handled this entire thing better than I have but I can’t undo what’s been done. I- shit I’m horrible at this sort of thing”
“You’re telling me,” Aloy huffed, crossing her arms across her chest.
“Work with me here kiddo. Look I don’t know what to do, how to fix this mess I made, but I’m willing to try and pick up the pieces for you . You're the only family I have left alive, Dezzy. You’re my baby. I could never replace you, the same way I could never replace your father.” Elisabet’s voice cracked, her hope rising when she saw something flash in Aloy’s eyes briefly when the girl’s eyes softened. “I-I wanna believe you mom, I really do, but-” Aloy let out a shaky sigh before balling her fists. “But I spent the last three years wondering why you didn’t love me anymore. Wondering why you didn’t wanna spend time with me and why you were barely around. I would sit up at night asking myself what I had done to make you hate me and even more nights crying myself to sleep because after so many months of you being anyway I was sure you were dead! Do you know how worthless I felt because of you? You weren’t there when those kids would bully me, when I was sick and couldn’t get out of bed, when I almost died the first time when a Sawtooth broke through the gates. You weren’t there when I needed you!” A sick feeling immediately set in when Aloy finished. She wanted to take everything she said back when Elisabet looked at her with more pain in her eyes than she had ever seen, but it was too late now.
“I know Aloy! God, I know. But I’m here now and I won’t leave you again! I swear to you, I’ll be a better mother, the mother you deserve. I can’t right all my wrongs but I can try. Please, please , sweetheart just give me another chance,” the look on Elisabet's face showed multiple things to Aloy. It was a look of sorrow, regret, pain, anger, fear, and a tiny bit of something she could figure out. The sick feeling in her belly doubled when Aloy realized that it was hope. Hope that the two of them could go back to being the unstoppable mother-daughter duo they were before, hope that Aloy would go back to being her little girl.
When Aloy didn’t answer her Elisabet’s shoulders sagged and her head dropped, unable to stop the tears from falling down her face. “I understand if you never want to see me again. I’ll talk to Rost tomorrow about you staying with him permanently if you want,” it was obvious that it was difficult for her to say by the way her voice was cracking. “Wha-” “Just go to bed Aloy. We’ll finish talking in the morning.” Elisabet didn't even realize her feet were moving until she was closing her bedroom door, leaving a stunned Aloy in the main area. Elisabet was beyond angry, not with Aloy, but herself. This was her fault. She pushed Aloy away and made her feel worthless. She abandoned her. She was so stupid for thinking she could just apologize and everything would magically be ok again. Some of Aloy’s words finally sunk in when she climbed into bed.
‘You weren’t there when I almost died the first time when a Sawtooth broke through the gates.’
How many times had Aloy been in harm's way and she wasn’t there to protect her? How many times did Aloy nearly die while she was away? Elisabet felt sick, just thinking about it. That night Elisabet cried herself to sleep for the first time since her husband’s death. She had pushed Aloy away and made her feel worthless and now the girl wanted nothing to do with her. “I failed Henry. I promised you I would take care of our little girl and I failed. It should have been me who died that day, not you!” Elisabet cried into her pillow. “What’s the point of fighting anymore if you destroy your only reason to keep fighting?”
She had no will left to live, now that her family was well and truly destroyed. Worse of all, there was no one else to blame but herself for it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE NEXT DAY
Aloy woke up feeling horrible. She thought that if she had finally told her mother how she felt then she would feel better, but she hadn't expected her to actually cry. Seeing her mother cry was bad enough but it was even worse to hear her cry herself to sleep. ‘She really did feel horrible. Maybe I should give her a second chance…’ Aloy nodded to herself at the thought. Walking out of her room she was greeted by the sight of her mother sitting at the table with breakfast already made. “Morning,” Elisabet gave a quiet greeting.
“Mom, I thought about what you said and-”
“I meant it, Aloy. You don't have to see me ever again if you don’t want to.”
“Mom-”
“I won’t force you to stay with me because of my guilt. Your-”
“MOM! I’m not leaving.”
Elisabet looked shocked. “But, I thought that-” “I mostly forgive you, but it's gonna take some time for somethings to be like before. You were just doing what you thought was right” Aloy cut her off hugging the older redhead as if she were to let go she would disappear. “I swear to you Aloy, I’ll never let anything like this happen again,” Elisabet whispered into the girl’s hair as she gladly reciprocated the hug, elated when Aloy nuzzled into her chest. “You’re still in trouble for running off last night,” she stated when the hug ended. “I figured as much. I still say you’re overreacting though,” Aloy shrugged as she began to eat her breakfast. Elisabet got an evil look in her eye as she smiled at the girl, “I was overreacting, hmm? Well then you won’t overreact when I tell that Brave boy about your little crush on him, will you? What was his name? Teb?” Aloy’s face reddened a comical amount as she choked on her water. “I have no idea what you’re talking about,” she sputtered. “Uh-huh, sure ya don’t.” Their focuses hummed to life. “I was worried you two would never make up,” GAIA said relieved. “Both of them can be more stubborn than a mule sometimes,” APOLLO added.
“I noticed”
“What do you expect? We are Sobeck’s after all” Aloy replied, earning a hearty laugh from Elisabet before the woman returned to eating her breakfast.
“You're grounded for a month by the way.”
“A month? No fair!” Aloy whined
“Do I need to make it two?”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It took a while for things to get back to normal for the Sobeck’s but they eventually did. Aloy and Elisabet were closer than ever and Elisabet had even started to bring Aloy with her on her trips. She did freak out a little when Aloy showed off her teleporting ability and made her swear to only use it when necessary. Eventually, it came time for the proving and Aloy decided she wanted to run. Little did they know that their world would come crashing down once more when the shadow Carja decided to try and take out both Elisabet and Rost that day.

~ROYALTY-MOTHER~
Aloy looked at the woman who was undoubtedly her mother with big eyes. She had always wondered what she would do if she met her mother, but now here she was in front of her and she couldn’t think of a single thing. ‘No. She’s not your mátir .’ Aloy thought bitterly. “Huh?” She asked when one of her guards, Snow, nudged her gently, snapping her out of her daze. “I asked what your name was,” The woman, Elisabet she remembers, asks in an almost motherly tone and Aloy realizes that everyone is looking at her. The girl’s cheeks flush in embarrassment before she stands a little straighter, “I’m Aloy.”
“I’m Elisabet but you knew that already didn’t you?”Aloy nodded meekly.
“I trust Snow informed you why we woke you up?”
“Yes. Looks like we’re gonna have to save the world……again.” Elisabet sighs.

~ROYALTY-LEARNING MORE ABOUT ALOY~
PAloy, how old are you?” Travis asked randomly at dinner.
“Seven”
Elisabet choked on her water. “You’re only seven years old?” Samina asks, bewildered, and Aloy nods. “ I thought you were at least ten!” Charles exclaims. “Nope,” Aloy said casually as she continued to eat her meal. “Wh-what does your family think about you being in a war zone at such a young age? Surely you have some sort of family” Elisabet asks once she’s caught her breath. Aloy bows her head and Snow answers for her, "The shadow Caraj killed her father and she’s never had a mátir .” The alphas looked at them confused. “What is a mati, uhh.. Snow, right?” Elisabet snapped her fingers together as she attempted to remember the seasoned veteran’s name. “ Mátir means mother”
“Oh...”
“Is that true Aloy?” Patrick asked softly, Aloy nodded sadly.
“Who was he?”
“Huh?”
“Your dad. Who was he?” Aloy glanced at Snow before speaking in their native tongue, “ Should I tell them? I don’t want them to treat me differently. ” Snow gave her a look. “ Your majesty, they are going to find out eventually. Why delay the inevitable? ” Aloy sighed, nodding her head. “I… I haven't been completely honest with you. My adoptive father was Rost Misa or Rost the Great, the God-Emperor of the Twilight Empire and I am princess Aloy Kassandra Misa, first in line to the throne.”
Margo was the first to break the silence, “Why didn’t you tell us you were a princess?” Aloy looked at her sheepishly, “I thought you’d treat me differently. Everyone does once they find out.” “We won’t treat you differently unless you want us to,” Travis spoke and the others nodded. “From now on let’s be honest with each other, ok?” Elisabet gave Aloy a warm smile when the girl nodded.

~ROYALTY- MY DAUGHTER~
Time had flown by fast for the Alphas, especially for Elisabet. It had been half a year since HADES was defeated and a lot of things happened, most notably Elisabet had officially adopted Aloy as her daughter. It was mostly well-received by the public, but most worried who would take the throne after Aloy’s aunt Minerva stepped down. When the current Empress summoned Elisabet and Aloy to the palace, she worried the woman had second thoughts about the adoption. She remembered how terrified Aloy had been when she told her about the summons.
“What if she wants to take me back? She can’t take me back!” Aloy sobbed into Elisabet’s chest. “Kiddo that’s not gonna happen,” the older redhead rubbed the girl’s back soothingly. “Y-you don’t k-know that,” Elisabet pulled away from Aloy, lifting her head so the girl was looking her in the eye. “She is not going to take you away, you hear me?” She wiped the tears off the young girl's face. “Cross your heart?” Aloy hiccuped. “Cross my heart,” Elisabet crossed her heart before kissing the young girl’s forehead .
“Why did you summon us, Minerva?”
“Straight to the point as always Elisabet. Please, sit” Minerva gestured to the chair in front of her, Elisabet raised an eyebrow but complied, motioning for Aloy to sit next to her. “I would like to discuss a matter involving young Aloy.” Elisabet’s eyes narrowed as she growled out, “Aloy is happy living with me and doesn't want to leave. I’ve allowed you and your family to be able to visit her. In case you haven’t noticed during these visits, since she’s moved in with me Aloy has been much happier. You’re not taking away my daughter Minerva. The only way that would ever happen is over my dead body.” Aloy scooted closer to her mother and Elisabet held the girl closer to her body, keeping her icy gaze on the woman in front of them. The redheaded empress merely smiled at the older’s protectiveness over her niece. “You have the wrong idea. I do not wish to take Aloy away from you. It is clear that the bond you two have has done wonders for the girl and it would do no good to take her away from you when she made so much progress. I feared she would never recover after my brother’s death…” Minerva drifted off woefully, glancing away for a brief moment. “If you don’t wanna take me away then why did you summon us?” Aloy spoke up. Minerva smiled gently, biting her lips ever so slightly, “I would like to ensure Aloy takes the throne after me.” Aloy and Elisabet’s eyes widen a comical amount.
“I’ve already discussed things with my advisers and we all agree that you should take the throne. Not only because Rost gave you the gifts of the Moon before he died but because it was his final wish for you to take the throne,” she continued. “But I thought only a Misa could take the throne. I’m a Sobeck now.” Aloy pointed out. “That you are. Aloy, the Misa family has been ruling over the Twilight empire for hundreds of years. We’re an old family and our time has come to an end. I would much rather you be the next ruler than my son.” Elisabet gave her a confused look. “Why don’t you want your son to take the throne?” The empress sighed, shaking her head. “I love my son but he would only drive the empire into ruin. Flash some coins in his face and he’ll do whatever you ask of him.”
“Fine. I’ll do it” Aloy sighed as Minerva beamed at her.
“Wonderful! We’ll start your studies in two days.”
“But what happens to my mátir once I’m crowned empress?”
“One of three things. The first option is she could live out the rest of her days in comfort, never having to work for a thing and be protected by the empire’s best soldiers. I doubt very seriously she is going to go with that.”
“Yeah, thanks but no thanks. I’m not comfortable with that idea.”
Minerva chuckled before continuing, “The other options are she could take on some minor political roles, receiving a small lot of land and a low or mid-ranking title or she could become your adviser and take on some major political roles, receiving a large lot of land and high ranking titles.” “Minerva, you do realize that I know next to nothing about your culture or politics, right? If I took on any political role it would be a disaster.” Elisabet deadpan. “You’ll take classes like Aloy, but at different times.” Minerva smiled.

~ ROYALTY- OVERPROTECTIVE~
“I’m gonna figure out a way to resurrect Rost just so I can kick his ass!” Elisabet yelled as she paced back and forth in the family room of the newly built Sobeck Manor. Travis was helping Aloy who looked like she was about to pass out from shock while Patrick, Ayomide, and Minerva were attempting to calm Elisabet down. “I understand you’re angry right now Lis, but please just calm down!” Patrick pleaded. “Angry? I just found out that my nine year old daughter has been betrothed to some fucking prince because of a damn peace treaty that was signed when she was barely able to walk and no one decided to tell me until now. I’m not angry Patrick, I’m fuckin’ livid!” Elisabet snarled. “Who is it?” Aloy spoke up for the first time. “What?” Minerva asked.
“My betrothed. Who is he?”
“Prince Varl Coelum of the Aurora Empire to the west, the largest empire in what was formally the United States.”
“I know him. Isn’t he a Nora?”
“No. His mátir took him and his siblings with her to live with his father after his father was revealed to use the technology of the old ones and she was outcasted because it was discovered that she had used the same technology once before.”
“Are we on friendly terms with the Aurora Empire?” Minerva shook her head. “The relationship between our two empires isn’t as hostile as they were once before but with the way things are currently one wrong move could result in a massive war.” “Auntie, please see when the prince is available so we can begin our courtship,” Aloy sighed. “You can’t be serious Aloy!” Elisabet seethed. “If my memory serves me right, the Auroran emperor is known to be trigger happy when it comes to war. That being said he’s not stupid, he knows he can’t just declare war on us for no reason. You heard auntie, mátir, if I refuse to do this it would be more than enough for them to declare war on us and that’s the last thing I want to happen.” Aloy stated, but that did little to calm her enraged mother.
“And before you go on about how I’m too young for marriage, let me remind you, mother dearest, the Twilight law states that for any royal marriages to happen, both parties must be the age of seventeen or over and if for whatever sensible reason one of the party is under the of seventeen there can not be, under any circumstance, an age gap larger three years. The very same law states that before any royal marriages the two betrothed must court each other for a minimum of five years. ” Aloy pointed out, using a diplomatic tone. “She’s right, Elisabet. Even if she started their courtship now, they wouldn’t be able to marry each other for another eight years, by both our laws and the Auroran laws.” Minerva confirmed. “Well, I’ll be damned! Baby Lis is growing up,” Travis chuckled, causing Aloy to blush in embarrassment. “I still don’t like it,” Elisabet grumbled, storming off towards her office. Minerva beamed at her niece with pride, “Your father would be proud of you, with the way you handle that.”

~APEX- BLESSING~
“You know Aloy isn’t here right?” Elisabet watched Varl squirm uncomfortably in his seat across from her in amusement. She had known the boy for almost his entire life and not once had he ever been this nervous around her. “Yes ma’am. She told me about your accident before she set off for her trip,” Elisabet watched the fire dance as she drank her tea. Much to her dismay, Aloy had to journey farther west to retrieve one of the last sub-functions, DEMETER, alone after Elisabet had broken her arm in a bad fall. She may have been several times stronger than any normal human but she wasn’t completely indestructible. Immortal, maybe, but not indestructible. “Then you know she won’t be back until tomorrow,” Elisabet pointed out.
Varl nodded, swallowing down the lump in his throat. “Yes, but I wanted to ask you something before she came back” “Oh? And what would that be?” Elisabet quirked an eyebrow. “As you know me and Aloy have been together for a few years now, four to be exact, and I wanted to ask for her hand in marriage,” Elisabet hummed as she took another sip of her tea before she set the cup down on the table in front of them. “You want my blessing to marry my daughter?” She asked slowly. Varl nodded. “Aloy’s a big girl she can make these decisions on her own. However, since you asked me first, I give you my blessing.” Varl stood to thank her but Elisabet stopped him. “I’m not finished yet. If I find out that you’ve broken my little girl’s heart in any way I will hunt you down to the ends of the earth and make sure you die a slow and terrible death. Do I make myself clear?” Elisabet had to bite her cheek to keep from laughing when the boy bobbed his head like a chicken. Truth be told she was glad that Aloy had ended up with Varl and not some holier than thou Nora or a Caraj with an even bigger stick up their ass. He had a good head on his shoulders, didn’t let his fears stop him, and the fact that he wasn’t completely helpless when it came to machines was a plus in Elisabet’s book. In her mind Varl would make a fine mate for Aloy. She just wished her late husband was here to meet their future son-in-law. It didn’t help that the couple reminded her of herself and Henry in their younger years to the point that it hurt sometimes. She knew Henry would have approved of Varl.

Chapter Text
Kenji Laveau was not a shy man, but staring up at his Amazonian of a wife stirred a sense of bashfulness. V was a drop-dead gorgeous woman who knew she was breathtaking. From her rich, dark chocolate skin to her curvy body to her towering height, Valerie was awesome even as she looked at him with tired eyes. "Stop it," she yawned before sitting down.
"Stop what?" He asked lovingly as he brought her the drink she wanted earlier. "Looking at me like a lost puppy," V huffed as she adjusted herself in her seat, looking up at her lovestruck hubby with a slightly miffed expression. The tall woman rubbed her pregnant belly before taking the drink. She loved Kenji dearly, but the man was on her shit list at the moment. "You know I'm not happy with you," she murmured as she drank.
Kenji had the good sense to look ashamed. "I thought if I told you who my mother was, you would never go out with me. You hate Arasaka…." He replied, his hand twitching as he gazed at her tummy. He had done wrong, and he knew it, having lied for years about his identity. It tore him up to know he had hurt her, and he was now doing everything to make her happy. V hummed as he began to take off her shoes to rub her swollen feet. "You're the lost son of Hanako Arasaka," she grunts as she drinks. "I'm married into the family I and my family hate-"
"I hate them too," Kenji cut her off, kissing her swollen ankle. "Which is part of the reason why I took your last name." His rough hands worked to bring his wife relief. Since his mother showed up, Kenji had been working overtime to appease V. He was but her humble servant, and she his rightful angered goddess. Goddess. Yes, V was his goddess, and Kenji would always ensure she knew that. "Hanako won't take me back. I won't let her," he swears, adjusting his grip as he found the spot that had been bothering her the most.
"That's not what I'm worried about, dummy," V groans, closing her eyes in relief as the knots in her legs and feet are expertly worked out. "I'm worried about how our daughter will be treated. I'm not a Japanese woman." The man paused momentarily before resuming his work. He wasn't stupid; he knew that V's fears weren't for nothing. Arasaka was known to be an extremely traditional company; finding out that one of its possible heirs was married to a foreigner would send the board members into a frenzy. But Kenji knew his mother. She wasn't like that, and if anything, she was excited to be a grandma. Evident by all the gifts she was sending to their small apartment and her attempts to get V's family home back in the south.
Hanako wanted her first grandchild to be safe, even if her son wanted nothing to do with his family. And Kenji knew she wasn't going to stop.
