The Wiggles x Reader Episode Inserts - TV Series 1

Summary:

Various Wiggles x Reader episode inserts based on TV Series 1.

I do not own the show, characters, or songs.

Chapter 1: Author's Note #1

Chapter Text

Just like my Imagination Movers x Reader episode insert fics, of course these stories originally started off as self insert chapters until I decided, "hey, what if I turn these into x readers since there's not a whole lot in the fandom?" And here we are. I think I started these in 2022 or 2023, but I didn't finish until now.

Anyways, here's some more details:

- I'm not taking any requests.

- Sudden breaks in between like this "--" means I skipped further into the episode.

- Some chapters are shorter than others.

Enjoy the oneshots!

Chapter 2: Whatever Makes Him Happy (Episode 1)

Notes:

Based on "Anthony's Friend."

N/N = Nickname

Chapter Text

“Hi, Wiggles!” You and Dorothy enter Wigglehouse and greet Jeff, Greg, and Murray. The trio’s faces brighten as soon as they see you.

“Hi, Y/N! Hi, Dorothy!”

“Isn’t it such a wonderful day, Anto?” You smile.

“It sure is, N/N,” he glances at you briefly before turning back to Morty.

“Oh, heya, Morty. Almost didn’t see you there,” you greet.

“Hi. How are you, Morty?” Dorothy exclaims.

“Huh?”

“Huh?”

“Huh?”

“Y/N, Dorothy, you can actually see Morty?” Murray asks.

“Nope. He’s Anthony’s friend,” Dorothy shakes her head.

“But how can he be? He’s invisible and only he can see him?” Greg asks.

“Well, it’s an imaginary friend. He may not be real to you three, but he is to Anthony. Look how happy he is,” you point over to Anthony and Morty chatting. Anthony is smiling the entire time, which makes you smile fondly.

“It wouldn’t be fun to question others’ feelings and actions whenever they’re in a happy mood, now, would it?” You place your hands on your hips. The trio shake their heads.

“Enjoying yourself is very important when it comes to being happy,” Dorothy adds.

Just then, Anthony gleefully skips over to the group and asks if Morty can play at the next Wiggles concert. The trio share a look until Greg sighs and speaks up saying Morty can’t play because nobody can see him except for Anthony.

Anthony slowly understands his question and asks again. Not wanting to hurt his friend’s feelings, Greg says Morty technically can, but–

“Oh, he can? Oh, thank you, Greg! Thank you, guys! C’mon, Morty!” Anthony cuts off Greg as he happily skips off to his room.

He opens the door and closes it once he enters. He calls for Morty from behind and out of nowhere, the blue door opens and closes on its own.

“Huh?”

“Huh?”

“Huh?”

Chapter 3: Let Them Eat Cake! (Episode 2)

Notes:

Based on "Foodman."

Chapter Text

“Hi, Jeff. Hi, Murray. Hi, Greg,” You and Dorothy enter Wigglehouse. Dorothy is holding a cake.

“Hi, Y/N! Hi, Dorothy!” The trio smile and wave. They love seeing you.

“Hi, Anthony,” you and Dorothy say. You sound a bit more dreamy when greeting him, but you hope your confusion masks your nervousness upon seeing his rather heroic appearance.

“Just one minute, humble dinosaur and human. What have you got there?”

Dorothy cheerfully explains that she baked a cake. Anthony, I mean, Foodman, explains that only one slice should suffice the two of you and confiscates it right out of Dorothy’s hands. He cuts what’s not even a whole slice of cake and smears it onto a red plate.

You and Dorothy are glum and now have to figure out how to share this measly serving of cake.

Chapter 4: Not-So-New Guy (Episode 3)

Notes:

Based on "Murray's Shirt."

Chapter Text

You, Anthony, Greg, Captain Feathersword, Wags, and Dorothy stare at this newcomer as he stands on the porch of Wigglehouse. But this is no stranger. It’s Murray wearing a different shirt, but none of them can shake off the feeling that there’s something familiar about this fellow. They all shrug it off and resume their activities.

“Y/N! Dorothy!” The not-so-new fellow calls you two over.

“That’s us!” You and Dorothy approach him.

“You two recognize me, don’t you?”

Greg interrupts the conversation handing Dorothy a rose petal sandwich and your favorite sandwich. “Here you go, you two.”

“Oh, Greg, you always make the best sandwiches!” You praise him. You could’ve thought you saw a faint blush on his cheeks.

“You want some mayonnaise?” You nod. “Come over here then,” he holds your hand as he guides you over to the table. Dorothy happily follows you two.

The original group, excluding Jeff who’s asleep in a chair, jumps in front of Wigglehouse again finally recognizing and greeting Murray. They're all glad to see him.

Chapter 5: Put Me In, Wiggle! (Episode 4)

Notes:

Based on "Building Blocks."

Chapter Text

With Jeff asleep, Greg knows the perfect substitute teammate for the job. “Y/N! Y/N! Come quickly!” He calls you over.

You quickly and eagerly stand by his side. “Me? Uh, I’ll give it my best!

He gives you the game plan. “Y/N, we only have a few seconds left. Make any and every move count!”

“You got it, Greg!” With such speed and grace, you manage to stack block after block.

Anthony and Murray gape their mouths and stare in awe as you come in clutch eventually helping Greg and Jeff–who’s asleep–win the competition.

“Y/N, what was going through your mind making that award-winning move?” The announcer asks.

“Uhhh, the power of…friendship?” You really wanted to give a detailed explanation of how you didn’t want to disappoint Greg, and especially Jeff, but that was only your second answer. The first? The power of love.

Greg stops cheering for a moment to process your answer. He later shrugs it off.

“Here you go, Y/N,” Anthony hands you the trophy.

You gasp. “Woah! This is awesome!”

“It sure was, Y/N. I never knew you were such a remarkable block builder!” Greg compliments.

“I love building, and I love blocks. When you put the two together, I love building blocks,” you state.

Jeff finally wakes up and stretches. “That was quite the long timeout…” You grin as you happily approach the purple Wiggle. “Hey, Y/N. Why are you holding the trophy? Did we win?”

“You bet we did! We won!” You hold up the trophy for him. He holds the other side.

“I can’t believe it! We won! We won! We–woah!” Jeff accidentally gets too excited and stumbles backwards, taking you and the block tower down in the process.

You fall on top of him while both of you still hold the trophy. Your other hand rests on his chest while he holds your lower back in order to protect you. While this is going on, the announcer signs off. Everyone waves goodbye. You manage to look back and wave. You still don’t move off of Jeff. At least not right away. He’s rather comfy. You could get used to this…

Chapter 6: Help or No Help? (Mechanic!Reader) (Episode 5)

Notes:

Based on "Jeff the Mechanic."

Chapter Text

(Normal Y/N)

You hear the commotion outside and hand Anthony, Murray, and Greg their color-coded towels. The trio thank you.

(Mechanic Y/N)

You arrive at Wigglehouse with your toolbox in hand. To your left, you see three guys sleeping on the porch. Most likely awaiting for your arrival. Happens more often than you think. On your right, you see another man sleeping in the red car that needs repair in question.

You’d hate to wake someone up from their slumber, but you needed to get the job done. You gently tap his hand to wake him up. “Excuse me? Are you from the uh…Wiggles?” You couldn’t help but notice his hand feels soft, and up close, he’s pretty cute.

“Sure am. I’m Jeff,” you didn’t know, but he thinks you’re pretty cute, too.

“I’m Y/N the Mechanic. Someone called saying there were issues with a…Big Red Car?”

“Problem? Um, I don’t think so. We’re all packed up and ready to sing at the show.”

Oh, it’s THESE Wiggles. You jog back your memory. Oh yeahhh, you like these guys, but hearing that the car didn’t need any repairs after all made you slightly disappointed. “Oh. Well, maybe I should still take a look just in case. I have plenty of time. It’s only four o’clock,” you take out a hammer and start walking to the hood of the car.

Only to be stopped by Jeff suddenly jumping out of the car and starts running around you in circles, worrying that he and his friends are gonna be late.

He breaks off the chase and rushes toward the sleeping Wiggles. You sway dizzily trying to regain your balance.

He looks back and places his hand on your shoulder. “Uhm, you’re feeling okay, right? I didn’t mean to make your head spin,” he sheepishly laughs.

“Brrr!” You shake your head in order to regain your senses and you look back at the purple-wearing man. He’s rather charming up close. “That was a bit of a doozy, but I’m alright. If you don’t need any help after all, I guess I’ll be on my way, but if you ever decide to change your mind whether it’s about repairs…” you take out a strip of paper and start to write something down, “...or not…” you stop mid-sentence before finishing up and handing the paper to Jeff, “...give me a call,” you wink and walk away.

Jeff stands there stunned at what just happened. He looks down at the piece of paper. Of course you gave him your phone number. He looks back up in your direction where you were walking, but you were already gone. Unfortunately, he had to snap out of his daze to alert the other Wiggles they’re running late.

But maybe, no, he’ll definitely take up that offer when he has the time.

Chapter 7: Win My Heart (Actor!Reader) (Episode 6)

Notes:

Based on "Lilly Lavender."

Chapter Text

Murray is polishing a picture frame with a photo of you, Y/N L/N, a highly esteemed actor from Hollywood. He’s enamored by your beauty. He’s in a complete daze while the other Wiggles hurriedly clean the house. Why are they moving so frantically? You’re visiting Wiggleworld today, after all.

You arrive on the doorsteps of Wigglehouse with your assistant behind you.

“Who goes there?” The talking door asks.

“‘Who goes there?’ Why, this is Y/N L/N,” your assistant introduces you to the door, “the superstar of solos, the connoisseur of cameras, the regal of red carpets, the–!

The door interrupts your assistant, sounding cocky and uninterested, “likely story.”

You huff. “This is absurd. I have an appointment with the Wiggles on this joyous day and one thing I dislike more than being late is people standing in the way of my goals. Now, be a good door and open up at once!”

“First, you must take a test,” the door emphasizes.

“Test?” You back at your assistant. “Test?!” You look back at the door. “I refuse to participate in your pop quiz! Open up right this instant before I become unhinged!” You were always quick on your feet to come up with witty puns that would sway anyone and everyone in your path.

“Very well…” the door sighs exasperatedly and creaks open.

You and your assistant smile and make your grand entrance into Wigglehouse. The Wiggles are quick to greet the two of you in their own…unique ways.

“Y/N L/N! It is an honor,” the yellow-wearing fellow approaches you, the one in blue bows, the one in purple salutes, and the one in red stares at you starstruck. This is a common occurrence for you.

“Indeed, indeed, my dear. Is there any place I can sit? I’ve been standing for an awfully long time.

“Right over here!” The yellow-wearing gentleman guides you over to a yellow beanbag chair.

You begin to lower yourself, but lose your balance and fall backwards. You yell in surprise only to be caught in the man’s arms in time and hoist you back up. As for your assistant, not so much.

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” He apologizes, making sure you’re not injured.

“I’m fine. I’m fine. No need for any commotion,” you and your assistant, who finally stood up, helps you adjust yourself, “I have something I‘d like to discuss, so let’s proceed. Please and thank you,” you clear your throat.

Before you do, Greg asks if you’d like a glass of water. He then asks Murray to get you one, but he still  has that same starstruck expression plastered on his face. “Murray?” Greg waves his hand in his face.

“Never mind the water,” you smile. “I attended a Wiggles concert recently and I was in awe over the quality of the performance. Your songs are second to none, and the energy in that venue…marvelous.” The Wiggles become bashful at your compliment. “One of my younger family members especially adores that one song. What was it again…? Ah, yes. ‘Wake Up Anthony.’”

The un-dazed trio look back and forth at each other in confusion before your assistant whispers the correction in your ear, “Jeff.”

“I mean, ‘Wake up Jeff.’”

“Well, we do love singing and dancing, your L/N-ship,” Anthony steps forward and bows.

“You four are all so sweet and charming!” You gush, “and it got me thinking. I need a main male lead in my latest, upcoming, increasingly expensive Hollywood movie. He needs to be handsome…”

Anthony smirks.

“Brave…”

Jeff looks alert.

“Kind…”

Greg smiles as he suddenly holds a comedically large present in his hands.

“And smart…”

Murray still hasn’t moved an inch.

“And so, with  you four young men in my mind, you perfectly fit my criteria.”

Greg steps forward. “I won’t let you down, Y/N L/N!”

Anthony and Jeff glare at him.

“What makes you think you’re getting the role, Greg?” Jeff asks in suspicion.

“Yeah!” Anthony backs himself up.

You put your hands up to cease any further arguments. “You four are all special men, but I unfortunately only need one of you to travel alongside me in my next Hollywood blockbuster hit, Y/N L/N Gets Married.”

“Married?!” The trio exclaim. The race is on.

“In order for me to choose fairly, I want each of you to show off a talent or hobby of your choosing. My leading man cannot be a boring man. He needs a sort of…WOW factor. So, tell me Wiggles, can you bring me the WOW? Who’d like to go first? Anthony?”

He gulps as he steps up a bit nervously, “well, um…”

“What do you enjoy doing?”

“I like to eat!” He pulls on a blue rope. An apple falls on a hand with a spring attached to the back and launches toward him, hitting him in the face before it hurls directly to you and your assistant.

You two cower before Anthony makes a quick move and catches it in his hand before it hits you.

“Indeed! Very nice! Uh, next? Jeff”

“That’s easy!” He falls asleep on the spot.

“Jeff’s really good at falling asleep,” Anthony speaks for him.

“You don’t say…what about you, Greg?”

He’s suddenly wearing a magician’s hat and cape. “Watch as I, Greg the Great, turn that old flower pot into a beautiful white dove,” he waves his magic wand and with a puff of smoke, the flower pot turns into a…laughing iguana? “Oops…!”

That sheepish grin of his truly looks cute. “Right…! Last but not least, Murray…” he still looks dumbfounded. His mouth has to be dry by now, right?

“Murray, here’s your chance to become Y/N L/N’s leading man,” Greg hands Murray his iconic red-starry guitar,” Go on. Show what you can do,” it’s a miracle Murray manages to break his gaze temporarily to hold his guitar. He only manages to play a few strums before sounding off-key as he turns his attention back to you.

You and your assistant twinge and look at each other before giving him a sympathetic and an even more sympathetic round of applause, “ah, yes, that was very nice…!”

“So, what’s your decision?” Greg hopefully asks.

You and your assistant shuffle to the other side of the room to privately discuss your decision.

“These guys are cute. Why can’t I take all four of them again…?” You whisper to your assistant.

“You could always make four versions of the same movie. The only difference would be each Wiggle would be the star. I’m sure nobody would notice the difference,” your assistant suggests.

“But the costs are already skyrocketing! I say this as if I don’t already have enough money to follow through with your plan, but what I don’t have enough of is time!” You sigh. “Maybe another time…

You step back to the Wiggles, “we’ve made our decision!” The group intently listens to your announcement.

“We appreciate all your effort, hard work, and dedication, but as you all are already aware, there can only be one,” you punctuate your words. Your assistant pulls out an envelope, “and I have the immense pleasure to announce that my latest and greatest leading man is…”

Out of nowhere, Captain Feathersword comes through riding past everyone on a unicycle. He turns and tumbles on the ground and jumps up.

“HELLO SAILOR! This fine gentleman right here!” You squeal over him.

“Captain Feathersword?!” Anthony, Jeff, and Greg exclaim. Even Murray finally snaps back to reality.

“The Friendly Pirate. That’s me!” He lets out a hearty pirate laugh.

You jump for joy while excitedly clapping your hands. “Yes, yes, YES! YOU are exactly who I’m looking for! Hold onto yer cargo because you are going to Hollywood!” You loop your arm through Captain Feathersword’s and gracefully exit Wigglehouse. Your assistant follows behind you two before waving to the Wiggles as a way of saying, ‘you tried.’

“See ya…” the Wiggles wave as they watch the three of you leave. They all shrug.

Of course each of them wanted to succeed and win over your heart, but maybe there’ll be future opportunities for that. Perhaps…a movie about! Or two. Or three! Including a behind-the-scenes documentary. Starring Greg, Anthony, Jeff, Murray, and you in The Wiggles and Y/N Get Married! Maybe one day…

Chapter 8: The Secret to Happiness (Alien!Reader) (Episode 7)

Notes:

Based on "Zardo Zap."

Chapter Text

A UFO flies past Wigglehouse. You, an alien from the planet Zephyr, spin into view on the doorsteps of Wigglehouse while speaking into your recording and radio device.

“Y/N Zap to spaceship. Y/N Zap to spaceship. Do you read me, spaceship? Over?” The radio communicates and confirms back to you. “I have now arrived at Wigglehouse. My current plans are to enter the home and successfully complete my mission with little to no failure. I will discover how the Wiggles and their companions make children laugh, dance, sing, and smile,” the device approves. “Any further instructions?” The device makes noise again, making you sigh. “Yes, I will return with one can of regular lemonade,” before you can let out another sigh, a strange door begins speaking to you.

“Who goes there?”

“Greetings. I am Y/N Zap from the planet Zephyr. I am a very scary alien when I desire to be. R-resistance is futile!” You introduce yourself while standing your ground.

“Likely story,” the door responds, unfazed, “you’ll need to pass the test if you want to enter.”

“Perhaps this planet has a different meaning of ‘entrance exams.’ I won’t accept it. I’m on a deadline. Allow me in or face my wrath! You try to sound threatening. “Look into my eyes. You are getting very sleepy,” you stare into the door’s eyes.

“No, I’m not.”

“Yes, you are! R-resistance is futile!”

“Oh, alright…” the door sluggishly says before falling asleep.

You smile as phase one is a success. You enter Wigglehouse and notice a man wearing purple sleeping in a purple chair. You quietly gasp and observe him really closely.

“It’s a Wiggle…it’s a Jeff!” You say in amazement. You’re mesmerized by his calm facial expression, the human details on his human face, “is this what this planet calls ‘inner beauty?’ He is beautiful…” you admire him even more before you stand back up straight and snap your fingers as you come up with a brilliant plan. “I’ll disguise myself as the beautiful Jeff to discover the formula for laughter and bring it to the children! It’s foolproof!” Just as you finish explaining to yourself, you hear a voice from behind.

“An apple. An apple.”

You gasp. “Another Wiggle! Eek!” You freeze in place and raise your arms to activate some sort of ‘invisibility’ technique. After a few seconds, you lower your arms and let out a sigh of relief, but only for a brief moment until you hear the door again. You raise your arms again until you hear the door shut once more, letting out an exhale, “that was close. Too close…but I mustn’t lose hope!” You suddenly squeak and jump back watching Jeff start to sleepwalk to his bedroom door.

You truly marvel at his internal homing system as if no matter where he is or what he’s doing, he’ll always locate his bed. You walk up next to him, opening and closing your hand to have the door open automatically. Jeff sleepwalks inside. You open and close your hand again to shut the door. You let out a deep sigh before nodding and holding up your communication device again.

“Y/N Zap to spaceship. I am about to take on the form of the beautiful lifeform of a Wiggle they call ‘Jeff,’” you spin around and transform into Jeff.

“It’s foolproof. No one will ever know,” you put on your best Jeff voice.

From behind, Greg, Anthony, and Murray jump out from their rooms.

“Jeff! You’re awake! I thought you were sleepy today?” The blue one speaks.

Trying not to tense up too quickly, you turn around slowly. “Sleepy? Why would I sleep for long amounts of time, Murray? I am Jeff and I love laughter,” despite you sounding like Jeff, you haven’t perfected his mannerisms. You sound monotonous, and since you’re so focused on blending in, you’re forgetting your prior knowledge of the other Wiggles.

The trio are immediately confused and approach you.

“Whoops! I mean, Ant-ho-ny,” you correct yourself. Or, you correct your Jeff-ness. It’s hard to tell.

“But, Jeff, you’re always tired,” the actual Murray corrects.

“Jeff, is there something wrong? You sound funny,” Greg worries.

“I do? Yes! I am succeeding. I mean, Jeff always sounded like this.”

Dorothy the Dinosaur enters Wigglehouse. She laughs quietly as she tries to surprise ‘Jeff.’ You turn around. “I can sense you. Cease your scare tactics.”

“Aw, Jeff! How’d you know?”

“I have three-hundred and sixty degree senses, and they detected a reptilian life form.”

“Huh?”

“Huh?”

“Huh?”

You look at the Wiggles again. “I need to detect laughing. Laughter for the children. Let us put on a show for the children to gather laughter.”

“But, Jeff, we don’t have any concerts until tomorrow. You already know that,” Murray reminds ‘Jeff.’

“Whoops. My sleepy Jeff brain thought of that as an oversight,” you turn back to Dorothy, “ah, Henry, teach me how to make the children laugh.”

“Henry?!” The trio question.

“That’s Dorothy,”  Greg points out, “are you really Jeff? Where is he?”

You start to freak out. “Identity discovered. Identity discovered. Revert to original form,” you spin around to de-transform back into your original alien self.

“Wahoo! That’s certainly not Jeff,” Anthony comments. Greg and Murray shake their heads. Upon seeing how you truly look, they all think you’re rather cute in a quirky sort of way.

You slump your shoulders. “I am Y/N Zap from the planet Zephyr…and I failed my mission…” you try to hold back tears. You’re doing what contradicts your entire mission: crying.

The real Jeff finally wakes up and exits his bedroom. He yawns before widening his eyes, seeing the alien right in front of him, looking at you up and down to make sure he’s not dreaming.

“What was your mission?” Greg asks.

“To…to discover the secret of laughter in order to make the children of my planet happy. They’re all very sad…and I was going to infiltrate and use your knowledge to bring your secrets back home.”

“Well, you didn’t have to disguise yourself to do that, Y/N,” Anthony states.

“And there’s no top secret behind it either,” Murray adds.

“It’s all because we love to sing, dance, and have fun with all our friends,” Dorothy chimes in.

“Well, we don’t have that there! There’s only despair and disappointment, and I’m no different from the rest of the citizens…”you lash out, balling your hand into a fist, “I thought I could make a difference, but I’m…I’m a fraud…” you lower your head and keep your eyes shut to hold in your tears.

Jeff gently places his hand on your shoulder. The gesture makes you unexpectedly gasp. A single tear falls down your cheek. He brushes the tear away with his thumb, keeping it there longer than he originally intended. He softly strokes your cheek with an even softer smile.

“Y/N, why don’t you watch this?” Anthony speaks up, temporarily breaking up the moment, but you don’t mind.

You watch Anthony walk in a rather silly way while making a silly noise. Dorothy joins  in. When they finish, they smile and stand near you, hoping their display of silliness cheers you up. You sniffle and smile a little.

“That is very silly and fun. It’s perfect, but…I don’t think I’m worthy enough to bring that move back to my planet…”

“Of course you can!” Jeff motivates. “All you have to do is try. Go on. You might like it,” his encouragement is highly endearing.

Everyone starts doing the same movement and making the same sound as before circling around you until you start joining in on the fun. You do so. It’s slowly starting to cheer you up. Once you all stop, you all laugh.

“This…is very fun! But, it’s also a bit difficult.”

“It’s not always going to be easy right away, but that’s what practice is for,” Murray explains, “the key is to simply try and enjoy yourself along the way.”

“I truly appreciate your feedback. Thank you for everything, my new companions. Ah, and if you ever visit planet Zephyr, feel free to find me!” You pull out your communication device. “Y/N Zap to spaceship. I have successfully accomplished my mission. Ready for transportation–ah! Wait. Do any of you happen to have a can of regular lemonade?” You ask the others.

“Yep. Jeff?” Anthony asks him.

“Right,” Jeff opens his bedroom door and hands you a can of lemonade with such a genuine, joyous expression.

“Much appreciated,” you nod. “You know, I might have to return to Wigglehouse for a…passion project of mine. Since this current mission is about laughter and happiness, my next personal mission will be about…love and romance!” You can’t help but let out an embarrassed squeal, feeling slightly flustered afterward. “Ah! I hope I didn’t reveal too many details. Until next time, my dear Wiggles!” You spin around making the same sound and silly movement as before teleporting back to the spaceship.

The group have another laugh before they all settle down again.

“Y/N was rather nice, right?” Murray smiles.

“You can say that again,” Greg chuckles.

“Oh, but I think we can all agree on one thing, Y/N’s antenna was definitely set on Jeff!” Anthony playfully nudges Jeff, earning a scoff from him.

“Well, how was I supposed to know I would wake up to a cute alien in our house?”

“Aha! So you admit it!” Anthony jumps around him.

“All of you thought so too! Don’t pin it on me!”

The other Wiggles all laugh again. They truly thought you were cute, and if you were to ever return to Wigglehouse for that personal love report of yours, they’d all be happy and willing to help you with anything.

Chapter 9: Party Food (Episode 8)

Notes:

Based on "The Party."

Chapter Text

After answering the door’s ridiculously crazy test, all the guests enter Wigglehouse for the party. Greg greets the guests one by one until he gets to you. “And let’s not forget our guest of honor, Y/N!”

Murray walks over to you for a hug and then to show you the decorations.

For some strange reason, Anthony keeps stalling whenever someone mentions the food. First, he suggests playing a balancing apple game, to which he wins, of course. Secondly, he suggests playing pin the tail on the donkey. He puts a blindfold over your eyes and turns you facing away from him so he can tie it in the back. He asks Captain Feathersword to hand you the donkey tail. He does so and Anthony begins spinning you around. You lose your balance for a moment before falling on a purple beanbag chair.

Anthony and Captain Feathersword help you back on your feet. Anthony encourages you to try again. You lean forward and successfully pin the tail with accuracy. Everyone claps for you.

Now it’s finally time for the food, but Anthony continues to stall. Everyone surrounds the table and pulls back the sheet, only to reveal there’s not even a crumb left! Everyone connects the dots pretty quickly; it was Anthony who ate all the food!

“Oh, Anthony!” Everyone exclaims while he casually eats an apple.

“We’re sorry about the situation, everyone! Especially you, Y/N,” Greg apologizes.

“Yeah. Next time we host a party, it’ll all be about celebrating you,” Murray assures.

“You have our word!” Greg, Murray, and Jeff confidently nod.

“I look forward to it. Food and all,” you lean to the side to look at Anthony. He nervously turns his head to the side, averting your gaze while continuing to eat his apple.

You smile at his bashfulness. It’s a cute look on him.

Chapter 10: As Time Passes (Episode 9)

Notes:

Based on "Wiggle Opera."

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

While Jeff continues to sleep with his headphones on, the other Wiggles and their friends move past him doing various activities. You move your arms in a silly way while jumping up and down. The more silly you act, the more you internally challenge yourself to see if he’ll wake up any time soon and see you in his view. Alas, the headphones won this round.

Notes:

The way this was one of my favorite episodes when I was younger, yet I could barely think of a single thing for this.

Chapter 11: Hair-Raising Heat (Hairstylist!Reader) (Episode 10)

Notes:

Based on "Haircut."

Chapter Text

You, Y/N L/N, a renowned hairstylist, trims Anthony’s long hair into many different styles until you land on his signature look. Anthony thanks you and offers to walk you to your car while the other Wiggles clean up the mess.

“Brrr. It’s starting to get chilly out here,” Anthony shivers, “if I had a jacket, I’d give it to you.”

“That’s very kind of you dear,” you sit in your car and buckle in your seatbelt. “Call me if you or the other Wiggles have any future hair troubles!” You wink before driving off.

Either it’s the sudden chill in the air or his own blush that’s making his cheeks turn head. He briefly snaps out of whatever daze he was about to go into to say goodbye. “Yep! “Bye! Thanks for the new haircut!” He waves and shivers again before re-entering the house.

As Jeff, Greg, and Murray continue cleaning up the leftover hair, they look up once Anthony speaks up. They do a double take.

“Huh?”

“Huh?”

“Huh?”

Anthony touches the top of his head and feels…nothing? He’s bald!

“Oh no! Quick! Get Y/N L/N on the phone!”

Looks like he’ll be needing your assistance much sooner than the two of you thought.

Chapter 12: Piece of Cake! (Episode 11)

Notes:

Based on "Muscleman Murray."

Chapter Text

You and Dorothy cheerfully enter Wigglehouse and greet the Wiggles, “hi, Wiggles!”

The Wiggles cheerfully greet you two back, “hi, Y/N! Hi, Dorothy!”

You hand each of the Wiggles a rose Dorothy grew in her garden. They all smile at your kind gesture.

“It’s such a nice day today. Wanna play with us?” You ask.

“We’d love to, Y/N, but first, we have to tidy up the room,” Anthony gestures to the exercise equipment.

“Oh, not a problem!” You pick up the large weight and set it aside with ease. The Wiggles look shocked.

“Did you see that?!” Jeff calls out loud.

“That should be enough space. Now then, what should we play?” Dorothy asks like nothing even happened.

“How about some ball games!” Anthony takes out three tennis balls and holds the stem of his rose by his teeth, giving him enough space of his own to start juggling the balls.

“Great idea! Here’s one lying out here,” you walk over to the ball near the yellow beanbag chair and pick that up with ease as well. “Hey, Murray! Catch! You throw it to him like it was nothing.

“Not the medicine ball!” He manages to catch it, but not before stumbling backward into his room.

“Murray!” Greg tries to go after him, but he falls onto the beanbag.

Jeff tries helping the two, but his feet gets tangled up in the Mr. Muscleman Machine, making him slip backwards.

Anthony just proceeds to laugh and continue juggling. You and Dorothy watch him in amusement.

“Maybe I underestimated my strength more than I thought,” you ponder with a smile before helping up Jeff, Greg, and Murray.

If they ever needed a workout partner, they know who to ask.

Chapter 13: Late Night Visit (Episode 12)

Notes:

Based on "Spooked Wiggles."

Chapter Text

You, Dorothy, and Captain Feathersword arrive on the doorsteps of Wigglehouse late at night. You all explain to the door that you guys wanted to make a surprise visit for the Wiggles, but the door sleepily brushes you all off and says to enter through the back door.

As the door starts to fall asleep, you look through the window, “I think I can see them in there. Let’s go through the back and say hello!”

After a few more circles around the house, you three make it inside. You accidentally trip and fall over, pinning both Anthony and Murray to the ground. They both cower in fear saying a monster got them.

Captain Feathersword turns on the lights. Anthony and Murray manage to stand up warning the three of you about a monster outside.

“That wasn’t a monster. That was just Y/N falling on top of you,” Captain points out.

You nervously scratch the back of your neck. “Oops…!”

After the whole misunderstanding was cleared up, everyone goes to the kitchen after Greg offers a nice drink of cold milk. Jeff sits up, removing the pillow from his head hoping the monster is gone, but sees something else wiggling in the window. He rushes towards the others, clinging onto your sleeve explaining what he saw. Here we go again!

Chapter 14: Repairing the Funny Bone (Doctor!Reader) (Episode 13)

Notes:

Based on "Funny Greg."

Chapter Text

(Doctor Y/N)

Anthony Murray, and Jeff pace back and forth in front of Greg’s room. You, Dr. L/N, exit the room and close the door behind you. The trio huddle in front of you.

“Well, doctor? How bad is it?” Murray asks worriedly.

“The patient is currently resting. He’s expected to make a full recovery.”

“Great!” Murray cheers as he and the others give you a thumbs up.

“However,” you continue. The Wiggles pay close attention, “he needs special care.”

“Oh. Well, what exactly is wrong with Greg, doc?” Anthony asks.

“The patient…” you take a dramatic pause, “...has lost his sense of humor.”

“Ooh!” The trio gasp.

“Let’s try to look for it. It must be around here somewhere,” Jeff suggests. He and the others search the area for Greg’s humor.

You sigh. “Recovering a sense of humor isn’t the same as finding a lost toy or something. It means he’s forgotten how to smile, how to be happy, how to be joyous. Can you imagine a sad person in Wiggleworld?” The Wiggles shake their heads. “Precisely!”

“But, uh, what can we do for Greg, doc?” Anthony asks again.

“I prescribe him with a dose of laughter. It’s recommended to be the best medicine,” you bow and exit.

The Wiggles bow at the same time and accidentally bump their heads.

As you close the front door behind you, you take a deep breath and exhale. You then proceed to squeal and happily stomp your feet.

“I can’t believe one of the Wiggles was one of my clients! Aaaaah! I should really conduct more wellness checks with them more often. Ah ha ha!”

What you don’t realize is Anthony, Jeff, and Murray can hear and see you from the front window. They smile at you being happy.

(Normal Y/N)

You and Dorothy enter Wigglehouse and see three of the four of them laughing and having fun. The two of you suddenly get the idea to play a trick on them. You two sneak behind the three and tap them on the shoulder one by one. Whenever  either of them turn around, you and Dorothy duck. The only one who notices is Greg, who finally begins laughing.

“That’s so funny!”

“What are you laughing at, Greg?” Jeff asks.

“Oh, nothing, Jeff. Nothing,” he tries to play off, but the more you two keep up your antics, the harder Greg laughs.

As you tap Jeff’s shoulder once more, he spins around and falls to the ground, revealing you tricksters.

“Y/N! Dorothy!” Anthony and Murray smile as they give the two of you a hug.

“Hi!” You two greet them.

“Y/N sure got you, Jeff,” Greg says in a rather teasing sort of way.

Anthony points out Greg’s humor has returned. Greg couldn’t have been happier as he claps his hands and jumps side to side in joy.

(Doctor Y/N)

You re-enter Wigglehouse. Anthony excitedly tells you the great news that Greg’s humor is back.

“This is marvelous!” You smile.

“Gee, thanks, doc! I can laugh again!” Greg beams.

“All in a day’s work,” you nod.

“Put ‘er there,” Greg extends his hand for a handshake, only for him to swipe it away from you.

The others laugh at his silliness. You sigh and hold his wrist with your fingers while you write down more information on your clipboard while he continues to tell jokes.

“Why did the boy bring a ladder to school? He wanted to go to high school! What did one volcano say to the other? ‘I lava you!’” He laughs and brings you over to the other side of the room to sit in Jeff’s chair. “You wanna see something really, really funny? Look, I’ll stand on my hands,” he bends forward and brings his hands underneath his shoes. He’s laughing throughout while everyone already left.

You watch in secret amusement, seeing how one’s sense of humor can shape a large part of their personality. Maybe you should become a psychologist, too? You simply smile at his antics, finding it all too endearing.

“Here’s a funny joke for you,” you briefly interrupt him.

“Let me hear it!”

You write something else down on your clipboard, “how do computers fall in love?”

“How?”

You rip off the piece of paper and hand it to Greg, “they exchange date-a,” you give him a shy, soft smile while averting his gaze.

He takes a closer look. It’s your phone number. Before he can respond, you briskly stand up and start speed-walking to the door. “I’m free past five o’clock. Uhm…give me a call then,” before you get the chance to turn the doorknob, you feel his hand placed on top of yours, brushing against it with his thumb.

“What does a person say when they point at a calendar?” He asks softly in your ear.

“What…?”

“‘It’s a date,’” he smiles and takes a step back.

You manage to look back at him. It’s evident to him that you’re blushing, but for the first time, you don’t mind.

You nod before waving back at him, “s-see you then!” You exit. As soon as you shut the door, you exhale before cheering. You managed to score a date with such a cute Wiggle! Come to think of it, they’re all cute!

From inside the house, Greg can see you express your excitement. You were right all along. Laughter is the best medicine.
