Felicity had always been able to see ghosts, or she had for at least as long as she could remember.
It was odd to be able to see more than the living, to see an entire other society of people that were just a little off. While it had never seemed abnormal to her, the older she grew the more other she felt. And although it had been easy to learn how to not react, even with especially gruesome looking death-marks, she still felt as though another shoe would drop when she least expected.
Something about seeing the dead had always felt rather… ominous.
OR
How would the arrowverse cope with a ghost-seeing Felicity Smoak who had had a worse childhood and slightly less morals.

Joe West doesn't get custody of Barry, and he's actually relieved. It would be really weird to live with the person who arrested your dad for a murder he didn't commit. But he's never met the Lance's, who he is now stuck with since they're the only family Social Services was able to find. Luckily, Sara is pretty cool. She humors Barry and they become thick as thieves. Oliver and Tommy aren't so bad, either. Especially when they invite Barry to events so he can cause some sort of disaster so they can end it early. Besides, they paid him well enough for it.
He skips grades, and ends up in the same year as Sara, and they graduate together. Barry doesn't like the idea of her running off with Oliver, but he loves his sister and tells her he'll be there to pick her up when she gets back.
Only they never make it back. And then the Lance's blame Barry. So he runs. He finally takes out the plans he and Sara made together and he runs. But not before talking to Thea and promising to come back once a year to see her and take her out for the day, just the two of them. He lost his parents when he was around her age, so he understands a lot better than most would.

Heartbreak is the strongest among propellants. And I’m not referring to a romantic relationship related type of heartbreak, although that is to be considered quite dangerous. But no, that’s not what I’m alluding to.
The heartbreak I’m talking about is the it’s the kind you hear happening. When one experiences this kind of heartbreak, they can hear as their heart shatters into innumerable pieces. They can hear as each one of these pieces cracks over and over, resulting into a cacophony of fragments.
The heartbreak I’m talking about is the kind that leaves you emotionless. When one experiences this kind of heartbreak, they don’t feel any pain. Rather the pain is so incredibly immense, that the mind is incapable of processing it. They end up feeling so much, that they don’t feel anything at all.
Zoom took everything from her, mercilessly. She just wants to see them one more time.
