Summary

Bearing the physical and psychological scars, she has to decide what to make of her newfound chance at life, as the messenger "boy" of a mysterious employer in Le Havre. Over time, she finds that there is, indeed, life after the barricade – and that she is not the only one granted it.
This story is an exploration of a what-if universe, focusing on identity, meaning in life, personal growth, forgiveness, and moving forward even when it seems that there is no forward to go.

Jehan took a closer look around the room. A lot of the tables were…weird. They had screens, trays, some really cool art. They turned to R. “Hey, did you see the art on—”
He wasn’t there. He was ambling over to the bar, Enjolras watching him with a sort of exasperated look on his face.
“Hey,” he greeted the bartender, a short woman with a severe pixie cut. “What—not to be rude—what kind of bar is this? I’ve never seen anything like it.”
She smiled. “This is a gaming bar. People can come for drinks, obviously, but we’ve got board games, video games, TTRPGs.”
Jehan blinked. TTRPG?
“What does that mean.” hissed Courf.
Pixie-cut-woman glanced over. “TTRPG? It’s a kind of game. Stands for tabletop roleplaying game,” she said, like she was explaining it to a gang of particularly political toddlers.

Obviously, Enjolras realized what he was talking about and Grantaire knew it as well. But it was a conversation he would prefer not to have, so he feigned ignorance in hopes Grantaire would just give up and forget about it, “I’m not sure I know what you mean.”
Grantaire didn’t even blink, “You do. You didn’t correct him at the start, and you didn’t correct him in the end. I would go so far as to say you confirmed his assumptions. You had no reason to do that– you already had your deal, it would have changed nothing."
Or, simultaneously a story about trying to obtain gunpowder for your revolution as well as a reflection on how being asexual can be very confusing.

Things only get worse when he finds out that Jean Valjean, whom he had once arrested years ago, now is the gamekeeper at the school. Javert has no choice but to work with him, for Hogwarts has apparently become the target of certain criminals. Also his students seem to be up to something, meeting in the Room of Requirements every week. Javert needs to get to the bottom of all this, only then he can finally return to his normal life again, leaving this school, and the weird emotions he is experiencing, far behind him.

Javert wiggled out of jeans arms. He could see the hurt in jean Valjean’s eyes when he broke way. this was Nassery he was walking a thin rope already. “He can be useful. I know the consul is going to be mad already when you tell them of this but, this one is on me.” Javert tried to explain.
