You have a job that you hate, a complicated relationship with your mother and a debilitating mental disorder you’ve been dealing with in less than healthy ways your whole life. That job, the one you hate, gets you on solo road trips from time to time, at the very least ample opportunities to indulge in things you actually care about.
The silver lining: sometimes, the small roadside motel you end up in has fun and friendly staff you honestly enjoy hanging around. Sometimes, the hot keeper of said motel will flirt with you determinedly enough to barge through your fifteen layers of fortified walls. Sometimes, you find yourself wanting to stay.
The downside: you’re pretty sure this place is haunted.
