Dean Winchester has had enough. He is freshly out of hell, there’s a bossy angel constantly giving him orders and his father died anyway, even though he’d made the demon deal for him. Oh, and he’s chained up in a jail cell! Again! He can’t get himself out of this one, so the only guy he can rely on is his defense lawyer…
Or: Sam goes to law school after s1e1, Dean goes to search for their dad. Dean gets himself in trouble, gets Sam as his defense attorney and together they hatch a plan.
This takes place in my weird alternate version of season 4…enjoy?

What leads a righteous man down to hell?
Dean Winchester has just about run out of people to loose. First his Mom gets killed by an unidentifiable shadow-creature. Then Dad and Bobby have a fight so bad that Dean isn't allowed to visit anymore. Then Dad and Sam have a fight so bad that Sam leaves. And now? Now Dads phone has been disconnected.
Dean can face ghosts. Dean can face demons. Dean can face almost anything that the world throws at him. He can even face loneliness. WARNING FOR SKIP WESTCOT! He's only in the first chapter, there's nothing explicit, and there are ramifications, but the worst of it is just in chapter one. (The first chapter is a prologue, so Skip is in the second entry of the story, which is chapter one)
