Summary
A twist on the scene where Lo'ak is left alone at three brothers rock.
Payakan was not there to save him, instead Lo'ak had to get to safety on his own, but safety comes at a price. Now Lo'ak must navigate the world with part of his leg missing and relearn how to survive on Pandora. His mental health deteriorates and Jake attempts to salvaged the relationship with his son while growing more protective over his children after truly witnessing how Lo'ak was treated. Neteyam, devastated by his brother's loss of limb, blames himself and thus becomes overly protective of his brother to the point it may damage his relationship with his family and friends.
Aonung feels guilt for his actions and he plans to make it up to the sully kid, but Lo'ak family makes it harder to do that. However, he can not blame them and thus strives to at least keep the other kids off Lo'ak back while also discovering hidden feelings for the five finger Na'vi. But how would Lo'ak ever feel such a way for him after what he had done.

Si temprano en la mañana le hubieran preguntado a Neteyam que esperaba de su día, el podría haber respondido muchas cosas, que se la pasaría ayudando a su padre junto al grupo de operaciones preparando el siguiente plan contra la gente del cielo, que ayudaría a su madre, kiri y su abuela con los heridos, quizás si tenía suerte pasar tiempo con su pequeña hermanita Tuk.
Lo que menos esperaba era estar volando sobre el mar huyendo de varias naves enemigas, solo, con la única compañía de su fiel ikran.
O (resumen)
Después de un ataque enemigo Neteyam queda perdido en el océano sin ningún recuerdo siendo rescatado por Aonung y resguardado por su familia con un nombre diferente, ahora tiene que aprender a vivir con una intensa sensación de anhelo por algo que no sabe que es mientras aprende los caminos del agua, hace amigos y ¿porque no? Enamorarse.

Eywa gave Neteyam a second chance at life and he feels blessed there are not many people who have managed to get through the eye of the great mother Eywa and live to tell about it, but now there was something that kept him awake and it was nothing more and nothing Except for Ao'nung's coming-of-age ceremony where the young Metkayina would meet potential mates, Neteyam knew he was better than all of them.

Neteyam’s breath caught in his throat, and for a long moment, Aonung held him in silence, letting the words settle between them. He could feel Neteyam trembling, still fighting the pull of his fears, his past. But Aonung wouldn’t let him run. Not this time.
“I’m here,” Aonung whispered, his voice steady, filled with conviction. “You don’t have to be the strong one all the time. I’m here. I’ll always be here. And I’ll protect you. I’ll protect you always.”
