Jasmine Fenton loved her little brother. She considered “Danny's big sister” a fundamental part of her identity. In fact, she held this fragment of herself so close to her heart that it was impossible that she could exist as herself, Jazz Fenton, without the part of her that was her brother's sister. She wasn't dependent on him to define her, of course, and she understood herself as an individual outside of her role as an older sister. It didn't matter, though. None of her dissection of her and Danny's dynamic changed the fact that she was losing Danny, that somehow, something had changed, and since then she had been desperately reaching across a crack in her very world for a brother who didn't care if she let them both fall off the edge. She knew logically that that's how it was, how it was supposed to be. Danny was a teenager. She was nearly graduated, and ready to leave Amity Park and start a new life. It still didn't make her feel any less like the further away Danny drifted, the more she lost herself with him.

This is a fanfiction rewrite series wherein Danny Fenton as usual becomes Danny Phantom, but instead of just fighting ghosts, all forms of paranormal creatures exist, and he must learn how to combat all of them, while finding himself relating more and more to the monsters. The series will not follow the original story, instead it will be rewritten with these changes and new scenarios in mind, this includes some villains being changed to different species of creature of the night, the Fentons specifically training to fight said creatures, and Sam and Tucker doing a little bit more than hanging around Danny.

In some timelines, Valerie Gray is benched by Danny Fenton revealing her identity to her father and can do nothing to assist in the fight against Pariah Dark. In others, she fights and dies, and in some of those she only dies part way. In most of those timelines, Danny goes on to face a potential future, requiring culling a timeline to save another.
But sometimes, Clockwork is wary of these solutions to their problems. And sometimes, as they are fond of telling mortals, the slightest difference can bring about monumental changes to the way things should be.
Even their foresight can't know what will happen around the bearer of the Crown of Fire, the Infinite's chosen avatar, the monarch of the Realms. But they could never quite have predicted the result of Valerie Gray making a bold, desperate gamble for the artifact.
As for Valerie and Danny, they'd just like to keep themselves pulled together and save their home city, thanks. They certainly didn't ask for Infinity to look them over and declare dibs.

The end of Grade 11 is upon Danny, and for once nothing is going wrong. The local ghosts are friendly, Vlad is Vlad-ing at a safe distance, and the GIW isn't chasing him in circles. Things are good.
So of course his blundering parents have to upend it all by announcing to Amity Park that Phantom is half-human. Thanks to them, Danny has to navigate keeping his identity secret in the face of a whole city's worth of people searching for him, not only as a ghost, but as a human too. Worse still, he can't even be mad at his parents, 'cause they're being so damn nice about the whole thing.
A conundrum of epic proportions and Danny is tired of it already.

Capturing Amity Park’s most famous ghost for an hour yields the Fentons some fascinating, if puzzling, scientific data. More tests are in order, but they’ll need Phantom’s cooperation to perform them. Fortunately, Jack has thought of the perfect incentive: in exchange for the ghost boy’s help with their research, the Fentons will help him find and reconnect with his living family, which he clearly misses!
Their daughter enthusiastically supports this idea. Their son is less enthused.
