She was the darling of the town the favorite and protégé of her Abuela and the youngest granddaughter she used to be the baby of the family until her little cousin Antonio was born. No matter how much attention she got it couldn't stop her pining for the attention of her cousin Isabela.

As the years go by Mirabel's anger only grows, and to see the family that betrayed her live such happy lives while she doesn't even have a crumb of food to eat fills her with rage until the person she once was is no more.
The old Mirabel was dead. The new Mirabel wants revenge.
Dolores was forced to stand back in the shadows watching as her family changed to the point she no longer recognised them. She didn't belong with the Madrigals she realises that now. She stays in the dark so they can be in the sun.
She was more a maid than a member of the family. She wanted to make them hear her.
With Mirabel whispering promises of power and vengeance, Dolores can no longer keep up the act.
They'll be hearing her now.
