Three parts to this tale include how Benjamin was taken from his home, how he escaped from the penal colony, and how he returned to London to become Fleet Street's notorious Demon Barber.
This is a work in progress, a love story of Benjamin's longing for Lucy and for his home; a story of perseverance against all odds; a story of a man, once strong and independent, who finds himself lost and needing to rely on others.

In order to keep her quiet about the topic, he makes a deal with her to do just that once both Turpin and Bamford are truly dead. He didn't actually think that she would expect him to keep his word, how bloody wonderful. Mrs. Lovett expects him to fight back of course, but once they get to the sea, she finds out just how difficult it is to get him to go along with the plan. However, is his resistance only towards being there with her? Or is there something hiding behind his apparent hatred for the baker's dreams?

Perhaps Nellie liked Lucy a little better now that Benjamin was entirely removed from their lives, and his scent had even faded from his pillow. Lucy was nobody’s wife anymore, just a person with soft lips and roaming fingers.
